Scandinavian journal of haematology, 2009Co-Authors: Esper MortensenAbstract:During incubation of erythrocytes with Natulan® and Degranol® a depression of the concentrations of reduced glutathione and adenosine triphosphate and an increase of the osmotic fragility and the formation of methaemoglobin were demonstrated. No effect of the drugs on the activity of the enzymes glucose-6-phosphate-dehydrogenase and pyruvate kinase was found. The possible significance of these findings is discussed.
