  • PARAMETER RANGE VALIDATION FOR RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING
International Journal of Advance Research and Innovative Ideas in Education, 2017
    Co-Authors: Arjun Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma
    Abstract:

Resistance spot welding is widely used in automobile sector to build the vehicle, In resistance spot welding its parameter play a vital role in vehicle strength. During the spot welding process, current losses usually observed, to prevent these losses, The purpose of this study to validate a range of spot welding parameter. The study is conducted on 0.6 mm thick Colled Rolled Close Annealed Material Grade JSC270C. This study shows that to validate a range of parameter multiple combinations needs to be made

  • OPTIMIZATION OF RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING PARAMETER TO ENHANCE PRODUCTIVITY
International Journal of Advance Research and Innovative Ideas in Education, 2017
    Co-Authors: Arjun Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma
    Abstract:

Steel is the primary Material to make the economically fabricated lightweight vehicles. Resistance spot welding is used to join the steel parts to get better strength. In resistance spot welding, its parameter plays a vital role for vehicle strength & productivity of vehicles. The purpose of this study is to carry out the optimum spot welding parameter for productivity. The study is conducted on in resistance spot welding no fisrequired0.6 mm thick Colled Rolled Close Annealed Material Grade JSC270C. This study shows that there are multiple combinations of spot welding parameters to get a better strength of vehicle structure by changing in parameter i.e. weld current & weld time on constant pressure & other parameters. This study also shows that increasing in weld current will increase the weld strength but at a certain current, weld aesthetic appearance starts to decrease.

  • Application of a quantitative ^1H-NMR (^1H-qNMR) method for the determination of geniposidic acid and acteoside in Plantaginis semen
    Journal of Natural Medicines, 2017
Co-Authors: Rie Tanaka, Hiroshi Akiyama, Naoki Sugimoto, Risa Inagaki, Akito Nagatsu
    Abstract:

A quantitative ^1H-NMR method (^1H-qNMR) was developed to determine the concentration of acteoside and geniposidic acid in Plantaginis semen, which is an important crude drug for diuretic purposes. The purity of geniposidic acid and acteoside was determined by the ratio of the intensity of the H-3 signal at δ 7.51 ppm or the H-7″ signal at δ 7.58 ppm in methanol- d _4 to that of a hexamethyldisilane (HMD) signal at 0.04 ppm, respectively. The concentration of HMD was corrected with the International System of Units traceability using potassium hydrogen phthalate of certified reference Material Grade. The geniposidic acid content in two batches of Plantaginis semen as determined by ^1H-qNMR was found to be 0.84 and 1.00 %, and the acteoside content was determined to be 0.80 and 0.93 %. We demonstrated that this method is useful for the quantitative analysis of geniposidic acid and acteoside in Plantainis semen.

  • Application of a quantitative ^1H-NMR method for the determination of paeonol in Moutan cortex, Hachimijiogan and Keishibukuryogan
    Journal of Natural Medicines, 2016
Co-Authors: Rie Tanaka, Hikari Shibata, Hiroshi Akiyama, Naoki Sugimoto, Akito Nagatsu
    Abstract:

Quantitative ^1H-NMR (^1H-qNMR) was applied to the determination of paeonol concentration in Moutan cortex, Hachimijiogan, and Keishibukuryogan. Paeonol is a major component of Moutan cortex, and its purity was calculated from the ratio of the intensity of the paeonol H-3′ signal at δ 6.41 ppm in methanol- d _4 or 6.40 ppm in methanol- d _4 + TFA- d to that of a hexamethyldisilane (HMD) signal at 0 ppm. The concentration of HMD was corrected with SI traceability by using potassium hydrogen phthalate of certified reference Material Grade. As a result, the paeonol content in two lots of Moutan cortex as determined by ^1H-qNMR was found to be 1.59 % and 1.62 %, respectively, while the paeonol content in Hachimijiogan and Keishibukuryogan was 0.15 % and 0.22 %, respectively. The present study demonstrated that the ^1H-NMR method is useful for the quantitative analysis of crude drugs and Kampo formulas.

  • influence of Material properties and stamping conditions on the stiffness and static dent resistance of automotive panels
    Materials & Design, 2002
    Co-Authors: Stefan Holmberg, Per Thilderkvist
    Abstract:

The use of thinner sheets and the introduction of new Materials has meant that the stiffness and dent resistance of exterior panels has become more focused in the automotive industry during the last years. The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of Material choice and the effect of varying stamping process conditions on the stiffness and static dent resistance of automotive panels. The experiments were performed on a double-curved panel. Four different Materials were included in the study: an aluminium Grade, a mild steel, a high-strength steel and a stainless steel. For each Material, two different stamping-process conditions were adopted to obtain different strain, stress and thinning distributions in the panels. The same stamping process conditions were applied to all four Materials. It can be concluded that the Material Grade significantly influences the static dent properties. The high-strength steel showed considerably better dent resistance than the other Materials. The aluminium panels had slightly better dent resistance than the mild steel panels, although having much lower stiffness. The stainless steel Grade had the lowest dent resistance, despite its high yield stress. An effect of the stamping process conditions was also found. Increased blankholding, with consequent increased strain levels in the panels, was generally beneficial to the static dent resistance. The experiments show very little scatter, indicating that the testing methodology developed worked satisfactorily.
