  • a new steganographic method for data hiding in Microsoft Word documents by a change tracking technique
IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, 2007
    Co-Authors: Tsungyuan Liu, Wenhsiang Tsai
    Abstract:

A new steganographic method for data hiding in Microsoft Word documents by a change tracking technique is proposed. The data embedding is disguised such that the stegodocument appears to be the product of a collaborative writing effort. Text segments in the document are degenerated, mimicking to be the work of an author with inferior writing skills, with the secret message embedded in the choices of degenerations. The degenerations are then revised with the changes being tracked, making it appear as if a cautious author is correcting the mistakes. The change tracking information contained in the stegodocument allows the original cover, the degenerated document, and, hence, the secret message to be recovered. The extra change tracking information added during message embedding is vital in a normal collaboration scenario, and so hinders ignorant removals by skeptics. Experiments demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method

  • PELATIHAN ANAK YATIM DAN DHUAFA DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PENGGUNAAN Microsoft Word DAN Microsoft EXCEL DI ASRAMA DOMYADHU CABANG CIPUTAT
    'Universitas Indraprasta PGRI', 2021
    Co-Authors: Katarina Dona, Fitriani Ida
    Abstract:

Along with the development of Information Technology, computers and their use in everyday life are used to process data into information. One of the important programs that a computer user must have and control is Microsoft Office. As the name implies, this program can help to do data processing work more easily. In Microsoft Office there are many types of programs that can be used, for example Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Word is a program that is very important in everyday life. This program is a Word processing program that includes creating, editing and formatting documents. Meanwhile, Microsoft Excel is a program designed to perform number processing. The Unindra community service team will carry out community service activities at the Domyadhu Foundation in the Ciputat branch by providing training on the use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. By conducting this training, it is hoped that it can improve knowledge on the use of Microsofot Word and Microsoft Excel for younger siblings at the Foundation

  • a modified approach to data hiding in Microsoft Word documents by change tracking technique
Journal of King Saud University - Computer and Information Sciences, 2017
Co-Authors: Susmita Mahato, Danish Ali Khan, Dilip Kumar Yadav
    Abstract:

Abstract Steganography is a hidden way of communication, where one person communicates with the other by using some medium under the garb of a cover, without any suspicion created on the part of any unauthorized intermediary about the existence of the secret message. Linguistic steganography is about hiding information in natural language text. Synonym substitution is an important transformation used in linguistic steganography. In this paper, we are going to show a method of redesigning the change tracking technique for hiding the secret message in Microsoft Word document to increase the embedding capacity and to decrease the suspicion of any intermediary about the message’s existence. The secret message in bit form is concealed by performing linguistic steganography using synonym substitution method. In conventional change tracking technique for information hiding in Microsoft Word document, the generated Huffman’s codes of rare Words are lengthier as compared to common Words, leading to more suspicion in the stego-document due to the usage of rare Words as compared to common Words as synonyms. To overcome this problem, the proposed algorithm is designed in such a way that familiar synonyms are used more often to hide more bits and avoid suspicions.

  • a novel approach to text steganography using font size of invisible space characters in Microsoft Word document
    ICACNI, 2014
Co-Authors: Susmita Mahato, Dilip Kumar Yadav, Danish Ali Khan
    Abstract:

Steganography is the hidden way of communication, where one individual communicates with another through cover medium without giving any doubt about the secret communication to the intermediary. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to text steganography in Microsoft Word document. The idea behind this technique is that slight variation in font size of invisible character space from other characters is not reflected in the document and in the required disk size for the document. Thus, steganography can be intelligently achieved. The embedding rate is very high in this technique, which increases with the increase in blank space character between Words. The secret data hiding and revealing technique is presented.
