reactions of pd and pt complexes with Molecular Oxygen
Chemistry: A European Journal, 2014Co-Authors: Margaret L Scheuermann, Karen I GoldbergAbstract:: Knowledge of exactly how metal complexes react with Molecular Oxygen is still limited and this has hampered efforts to develop catalysts for oxidation reactions using O2 as the oxidant and/or Oxygen-atom source. A better understanding of the reactions of different types of metal complexes with O2 will be of great utility in rational catalyst development. Reactions between Molecular Oxygen and Pd(0-II) and Pt(0-IV) complexes are reviewed here.

recent advances in transition metal catalyzed reactions using Molecular Oxygen as the oxidant
Chemical Society Reviews, 2012Co-Authors: Chun Zhang, Conghui Tang, Ning JiaoAbstract:For green and sustainable chemistry, Molecular Oxygen is considered as an ideal oxidant due to its natural, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly characteristics, and therefore offers attractive academic and industrial prospects. This critical review introduces the recent advances over the past 5 years in transition-metal catalyzed reactions using Molecular Oxygen as the oxidant. This review highlights the scope and limitations, as well as the mechanisms of these oxidation reactions (184 references).

direct oxidation of cycloalkanes with Molecular Oxygen to dicarboxylic acids using isoamyl nitrite
Journal of Molecular Catalysis A-chemical, 2007Co-Authors: Yuichiro Suzuki, Emi Harada, Katsuhisa Nakamaru, Yasuhisa Takeda, Makoto Sano, Keiji Hashimoto, Takanori MiyakeAbstract:Abstract Oxidation of cycloalkanes with Molecular Oxygen using isoamyl nitrite was examined under mild conditions. Cycloalkanes were easily oxidized with Molecular Oxygen to give the corresponding cycloalcohols, cycloalkanones and dicarboxylic acids at 120 °C or lower temperatures. The oxidation of the cycloalkanes was promoted by adding soluble Co and Mn ions.

Studies on Synthesizing Citral by Catalytic Oxidation with Molecular Oxygen
Hebei Chemical Engineering and Industry, 2020Co-Authors: Wang Xiao-enAbstract:The Molecular Oxygen is a"green"oxidant in productions of chemical industry. It has to be a heat area of investigation at abroad in organic synthesis, recently, which syntheses carbonyl compounds by catalytic oxidation of alcohols with Molecular Oxygen. Based on the reactions, this paper reports research for synthesizing citral. The Ru/Al2O3 catalyst used for catalyzing oxidation of alcohol-OH groups has high yield and selectivity.

Studies on synthesizing cinnamaldehyde by catalytic oxidation with Molecular Oxygen
Tianjin Chemical Industry, 2020Co-Authors: Wang Xiao-enAbstract:Molecular Oxygen is not only cheaper and easier to gain than the traditional oxidants but also a "green" oxidant in productions of chemical industry. In recent years, it was extensively used to investigate the synthesis of many carbonyl compounds by catalytic oxidation of alcohols at abroad. Many of this type of catalysts have been discovered by far. Ru/Al2O3 catalyst is used to synthesize cinnamaldehyde by oxidation of cinnamic alcohol with Molecular Oxygen, here, and has high yield and selectivity.
