    Abstract:

    Pursuing the goal to develop an express technique for the characterizing of forest ecology, this paper presents a description of the found dependence of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) relaxation times of water in soils on the pollution caused by vehicle exhausts. Test measurements were made in Mari El Republic of Russia where wildwood areas located close to human activity are showing degradation, which has drastically intensified in the resent several years. Samples were collected at distances between 100 m to 1.1 km from the highway towards the direction of virgin forest assuming that their contamination level was naturally varied. The measured spin-spin NMR relaxation time of wetted samples showed a growth of more than 20% with the increase of distance from the pollution source. Here we try to explain this effect. As the conclusion, we propose to use the transverse relaxation time of moisturized soil as an indicator for the Environment pollution Monitoring.

    Abstract:

    Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a low cost and multifunctional emerging technology. Its application ranges from military, health sector, Environmental Monitoring and industrial application. The maximum benefit of recent technology development can be achieved by integration internet (Cloud Computing) and secured real time data collection platform (secured-WSNs). In order to ensure its functionality especially in malicious Environments, security mechanisms are essential in WSNs. Malicious or internal attacker has gained prominence and poses the most challenging attacks to WSN. So, for complete security internal attacks need to be handled. In this paper we proposed content-based publish/subscribe (pub/sub) broker model on the Cloud that integrates WSNs to Cloud efficiently and effectively. To secure WSNs we have proposed a new approach for detecting internal attack by using Mrakov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC). It is an efficient real time algorithm. It is good for sensor network as it operates with no or incomplete classification information. Our result shows the output of the internal attacker evaluation.

    Abstract:

    Due to the growth of potential of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), now becomes possible to use this technology in various new generation services such as Monitor Environment characteristics like temperature, humidity, among others. WSNs are emerging as a new paradigm, gathering information in a collaborative way, where independent sensor nodes collect and share information. In the last few years ubiquitous computing popularity has grown considerably, ambient intelligence and home automation systems are having a good public acceptance. In this context, we developed a mobile application to remotely Monitor one WSN, installed at a customer's home. The application's main goal is to interact with a WSN, allowing a user to consult sensor states and receive sensor alerts. Sensor alerts will be received, in case a sensor's threshold value, exceeds the limit. Therefore the user will be notified whenever there are changes in the WSN. Apart the WSN, a base station is also needed for keeping the state of the WSN, store sensor's information and enable communication between the WSN and the developed mobile application via Web Services. This way and having a network connection, the user can check the state of any WSN component, anytime, anywhere. The Android platform was chosen to implement our application, since it is having a great acceptance and continued growth in the mobile market.

    Abstract:

    Lake Toba serves as an important tourism attraction in Indonesia, especially in the region of North Sumatera province. As tourism in Lake Toba develops, the possibility of Environmental issues in Lake Toba, mainly water quality, is also increased. This condition increases necessity for a system that can Monitor Environment condition, especially water quality in Lake Toba. In this paper, we propose a design and development to gather and process data about water pollution in Lake Toba in a real-time process. Our proposed design consists of several sensors which record several parameters, such as Dissolved Oxygen Level, pH level, Water Temperature, Air Humidity and Air Temperature. These sensor buoys will be placed on several locations on Lake Toba's surface to increase the effectiveness of measurement, thus improving the measurement result. Finally, the real-time measured values from the sensors will be gathered and processed in one main controller; the experiment result shows that certain area can be Monitored effectively.
