    Abstract:

    In distributed systems of public key infrastructure, it was necessary to authenticate the target Certificate along a path from the requesting entity to the target for authenticating a target entity. Extending the authentication that used single Certificate path, a method based on Multiple independent paths was proposed. The target Certificate was authenticated using some independent paths respectively. These authentication results incorporating with policies are used to deduce the trustworthy result about target entity. This method can increase assurance in the authentication. These independent paths are found with heuristics that make the paths as many as possible.

    Abstract:

    This document defines the Transport Layer Security (TLS) Certificate Status Version 2 Extension to allow clients to specify and support several Certificate status methods. (The use of the Certificate Status extension is commonly referred to as "OCSP stapling".) Also defined is a new method based on the Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) that servers can use to provide status information about not only the server's own Certificate but also the status of intermediate Certificates in the chain.

    Abstract:

    This paper describes a software authentication technique based on the public key cryptography for information integrity. The software provider can use a secret key to sign any released program and the user can verify the integrity of programs obtained from vendors or a ''trusted information database''. The software provider needs to go through a registration process to become ''licensed'' and obtains Certificates from Multiple Certificate centers before being able to sign any released program. Users need only one public key to verify the integrity of the programs.

    Abstract:

    Abstract This paper proposes a modern service-oriented extensible authentication model base on company (EAMBCom), after researching some security authentication models commonly used in distributed environment. The advantages and disadvantages of strictly hierarchical authentication model (SHAM), and Multiple-Certificate-authority (multi-CA) model are analyzed. The EAMACom model can regard “company” as logical authentication unit, which can be extended easily and owns the ability of reducing burden of root Certificate authority (RootCA). In addition, the EAMACom model can simplify the certification process on the premise of authentication security, so it actually can be used in modern service-oriented distributed file system for security.
