Pseudonymous communications in secure industrial wireless sensor Networks

They are used to provide contextual information about the industrial environment being surveyed, to control and monitor the industrial processes, and even for workers who can be augmented with sensors. In these wireless Networks, an adversary can easily eavesdrop communications with the aim to collect private information about sensors, because of the open nature of the wireless medium. A usual solution to prevent privacy violation relies on the use of pseudonyms as sensor identities; however, pseudonyms may deter authentication and Access control enforcement in the Network. This paper introduces an efficient pseudonym-based scheme that provides privacy protection to sensors without compromising Network Access Security.

NaNA - A Novel Terminal Security Access Method Based on Edge Computing for IoT

It effectively solves the problems of high-latency and energy consumption, and reduced Network transmission bandwidth of IoT devices, becoming a new generation of IoT Network architecture. This paper studies the Network Access Security problems of IoT wireless devices lacking abundant computing resources existed in the architecture. On this basis, this paper proposes an innovative non-cryptographic Security Access method, which is a mobile edge computing-based Internet of Things Security Access. The difference between this method and the traditional cryptographic algorithm-based Security Access lies in the fact that no password authentication is required. It utilizes the hardware difference of heterogeneous Access wireless devices, thus signal fingerprint characteristics generated by terminal devices radio frequency radiation are Accessed at the edge computing device end for identity authentication.

The NASM architecture involves the authentication and key agreement, Security mode setup during connection establishment, and Access link data integrity and confidentiality between mobile user and universal mobile telecommunication systems. The NASM framework also provides measures to enhance the Security weaknesses of GSM Security framework and protect the users against attacks on the radio Access link of Universal Mobile Telecommunication Systems (UMTS) based on 3GPP technical specifications [1]. The NASM model is part of Secure Service Provisioning Framework (SSPF) [2] for IP Multimedia System (IMS) and Next Generation Networks (NGN) of Third Generation and beyond (3Gb) Testbed [9] and IP Multimedia System (IMS) Playground [10] which provide R& D infrastructure at Fokus Fraunhofer.
