  • Integrated Modeling of Process Routes Planning and Scheduling Based on Network Diagram
    Advanced Materials Research, 2013
    Co-Authors: Di Liang, Hai Dong
    Abstract:

Modeling method based on Network Diagram was proposed to realize integrated modeling of process routes planning and scheduling. A model of multiple process routes and resource (MPRR) Network Diagram was built, which applied the Network Diagram expression and represented the precedence constraint relationship among operations and resource conditions. In the model, the workpiece, operation and machine are joined together as a basic optimization cell to realize concurrent and holistic optimization for process routes planning and scheduling. An example was studied and the integrated model of process routes planning and scheduling was built.

  • study on time scaled Network Diagram based on the analysis of activity floats
Operations Research and Management Science, 2006
    Co-Authors: L I Xingmei, Q I Jianxun
    Abstract:

In view of the fact that the existing concepts of float cannot reflect fully the intrinsic relation both preceding activities and succeeding activities of CPM Network, three new concepts of activity floats are proposed. To the popular time-scaled Network Diagram-early time-scaled Network Diagram and late time-scaled Network Diagram, based on the theory of the path length theory,we give the theoretical basis, and protract the time-scaled Network Diagram stochastically.Three new concepts of activity floats which are put forward help to plot time-scaled Network Diagram, and make the applications of Network more practical and feasible.

  • design and evaluation of euler Diagram and treemap for social Network visualisation
    Communication Systems and Networks, 2015
    Co-Authors: Mithileysh Sathiyanarayanan, Nikolay Burlutskiy
    Abstract:

At present, the complexity and scale of modern social Networks is at its highest level but there is a gap in how to represent these Networks and their relationships to a user. As a result, it is often hard for a user to understand the relationships in the social Networks and make an informed decision over it. Network Diagrams has become a standard for social Networks visualisation and analysis. However, in this paper, two alternative visualisation types for social Network representation and analysis were considered. An Euler Diagram and treemap were evaluated for visualising social Networks and conveying information on people in a Network, their relationships and common interests. Then two new visualisations for social Network representation based on these two types of visualisation were proposed. An Euler Diagram augmented by a Network Diagram and a treemap combined with a Network Diagram were designed and then compared in an evaluation. The visualisations were evaluated by twenty participants for appropriateness and usefulness of the two visualisations in comparison to each other. Finally, the results of the evaluation, limitations and usefulness of the proposed Diagrams were discussed.

  • APPLICATION OF ENERGY Network Diagram IN A LARGE SCALE REFINING & PETROCHEMICAL PROJECT
    Petroleum Processing and Petrochemicals, 2012
    Co-Authors: Cnooc Refining
    Abstract:

It is an effective tool and method to use energy balance table and energy Network Diagram to assess a project in energy efficiency.A case study of adopting energy Network Diagram in the energy assessment for a large scale refining and petrochemical project was carried out,and some pertinence analysis and theoretical discussion were given taking into account the project characters. Finally, the scientific rationality of energy utilization in this project was assessed.

  • Energy Network Diagram applied to evaluate a petrochemical project on energy-saving technology
    Computers and Applied Chemistry, 2011
    Co-Authors: Cnooc Refining
    Abstract:

Large amount of energy is consumed in a petrochemical project.Action should be done to evaluate its effectiveness on energy-saving measures for improving the efficiency during the front-end stage of the project.Energy Network Diagram, which is taken as a tool for sorting and displaying energy statistical data of a country or a district,is never used to evaluate the energy-saving measures of a petrochemical project by now.According to the characteristics of a petrochemical project, the tool was adopted and the Diagram was depicted in this paper based on the energy conservation law.The principles, methods and results were presented and demonstrated in detail, which covered the four parts of energy utilization. The results showed that the Diagram was a useful tool for evaluating the effectiveness of energy-saving measures applied in the petrochemical project. It not only illustrated a whole picture of the energy flow process apparently, but also revealed their utilization efficiency systematically. The total energy efficiency of the project calculated using this method was 67.72%,which ranked the project in an advanced and high level on energy consumption.
