  • Radio Network Planning and Simulation for TD-SCDMA
    Computer Simulation, 2009
    Co-Authors: Chen Gang
    Abstract:

TD-SCDMA system is gradually constructed and enters into commercial use in China,so,radio Network Planning for this system has become more important. This paper emphatically analyses the influences of the new technologies, such as time division duplex plus multi-slot and smart antenna plus joint detection on the Network Planning of TD-SCDMA.And the characteristics of Network Planning are discussed form radio coverage Planning and scrambling code Planning. Then a detailed process of radio Network Planning is described. Finally, according to Network simulation result, such key issues as the best server coverage, pilot intensity, pilot pollution, demodulation threshold and baton handover coverage are analyzed.

  • Review of Power Distribution Network Planning
    Power system technology, 2009
    Co-Authors: Xie Huan
    Abstract:

The models, Planning methods and solution algorithms for distribution Network are summarized. The models for distribution Network Planning are divided into two categories, i.e., the earlier models and the later models. The earlier models describe common features of distribution Network Planning models, including substation Planning models, Network Planning models, substation-Network joint-Planning models and multi-stage Planning models;based on the earlier models, the later models research the development of Planning models in different aspects, including the complication of models, the impacts of geographic information system(GIS) and the ideologies of distributed power supply and reliability management.According to the features of distribution Network Planning models, corresponding Planning methods, including multi-objective, multi-stage and uncertainty Planning methods, are analyzed, the advantages of disadvantages as well as the applicability of these solution algorithms are dissertated. Finally, the research trend of distribution Network Planning in future is pointed out.

  • Unifying Calculating Models for the Network Planning
    Systems Engineering - Theory & Practice, 2002
    Co-Authors: Yang Bing
    Abstract:

In this paper, a set of unified calculating models for general Network Planning, spliced Network Planning and streamlined Network Planning based on analysis of the spliced Network Planning. For the spliced Network Planning, the new models are of clear meaning, concise modality and precise describing, and convenient for application.

  • Analyzing the Models for Spliced Network Planning
Journal of Northern Jiaotong University, 2002
    Co-Authors: Yang Bing
    Abstract:

In this paper, the calculating models and chart models for spliced Network Planning are analyzed in a systematic way. The concepts of delay tasks and extensive Network Planning are introduced. Based on these concepts, the calculating models of spliced Network Planning and the methods of generating and determining Network chart with time coordinate for spliced Network Planning are discussed.

  • Network Planning OF A VOIP-CABLE PBX - The Use of Data Profiling Techniques for an Efficient Network Planning
    2016
Co-Authors: Igor Ruiz-agundez, Yoseba K. Penya, Pablo García Bringas
    Abstract:

Network Planning presents a number of difficulties and risks but performed in an optimal way may turn beneficial. In this work we address a new way of achieving optimal Network Planning for Voice over IP (VoIP) services by using historical data to profile service usage. We show how to obtain a sound set of service use clusters based on calling behaviours by applying a Simple Expectation Maximisation (EM) algorithm. We successfully evaluate this methodology with real data and extract useful knowledge that can result in an improved Network Planning. Finally, we discuss the application of this method to other Network services.

  • Study and Expectation of Power Distribution Network Planning
    Electrotechnics Electric, 2013
    Co-Authors: Tan Zhi-guang
    Abstract:

How to supply electric power meeting the requirements to users is the important content of power distribution Network Planning; how to realize distribution Network losses reduction and to ensure power quality at the same time is now the study direction of distribution Network Planning. Synthetic description was carried out for distribution Network Planning, and related models and algorithms were summarized and analyzed. Some assumes were raised for distribution Network Planning. Combined with the present development of power Network, this paper looked forward to the trends of further study.
