    Abstract:

    Firstly, possible pipe combination, that needs to give friction factor value, is found by orthogonal experimental method. Then friction factor sensitivity of pipe section is analyzed in the possible pipe combination by sensitivity analysis, supplementary boundary conditions is gotten, friction factor value of every pipe is given according to solving analogical Node Equation method. At last, Case study showed that the method is true and better in result matching and convergence rate aspect. The approach is a theoretical guarantee to network design and optimal analysis of oilfield water injection network, and has a specified engineering significance.

    Oilfield water injection network is a special network, where all pressure and flow rate of Node is known. Using empirical friction factor value formerly leads to great deviation between optimal result of network and fact operating condition, because of small pipe diameter, severe scale and lots of valves, which is difficult to guide Oilfield production.     Abstract:

    This paper is dedicated to the optimisation of Non-Binary LDPC codes when associated to high-order modulations. To be specific, we propose to specify the values of the non-zero NB-LDPC parity matrix coefficients depending on the corresponding check Node Equation and the Euclidean distance of the coded modulation. In other words, we explore the joint optimisation of the modulation mapping and the non-binary matrix. The performance gains announced by a theoretical analysis based on the Union Bound are confirmed by simulations results. We obtain an 0.2-dB gain in the high SNR regime compared to other state-of-the-art matrices.

  • The Node Equation approach to wide band SAR image reconstruction

    Abstract:

    As opposed to Fourier and associated integral methods for SAR processing, the paper discusses a method, based on the numerical unfolding of a differential Equation along the synthetic aperture path. The method is a particular case of a general approach, which also may be applied to other synthetic aperture techniques, such as ISAR and btstatic imaging. The integration process may be termed cumulative, since a low resolution image available at a certain time along the synthetic aperture, together with the data registered at this moment of time, form the basis for constructing an image of successively improved resolution. The approach seems suitable for real time imaging, motion compensation, adaptive radar, and whenever continuous control over the imaging process is required. The paper considers application of the method to the extreme situation of ultra wide band, low frequency SAR. It is not as yet known how the method compares to the more conventional correlation methods, in the case of narrow band microwave SAR. The method is demonstrated by several numerical tests.
