Unusual stability of a one-Parameter Family of dissipative solitons due to spectral filtering and nonlinearity saturation
Physical Review A, 2010Co-Authors: Shihua Chen, Yi Liu, André MysyrowiczAbstract:The stability of a one-Parameter Family of dissipative solitons seen in the cubic-quintic complex Ginzburg-Landau equation is studied. It is found that an unusually strong stability occurs for solitons controlled by the spectral filtering and nonlinearity saturation simultaneously, consistently with the linear stability analysis and confirmed by large-perturbation numerical simulations. Two universal types of bifurcations in the spectrum structure are demonstrated.

a one Parameter Family of transforms linearizing convolution laws for probability distributions
Communications in Mathematical Physics, 1995Co-Authors: Alexandru NicaAbstract:We study a Family of transforms, depending on a Parameterq∈[0,1], which interpolate (in an algebraic framework) between a relative (namely: -iz(log ℱ(·))′(-iz)) of the logarithm of the Fourier transform for probability distributions, and its free analogue constructed by D. Voiculescu ([16, 17]). The classical case corresponds toq=1, and the free one toq=0.

expectation values of local fields for a two Parameter Family of integrable models and related perturbed conformal field theories
Nuclear Physics, 1998Co-Authors: P Baseilhac, V A FateevAbstract:Abstract We calculate the vacuum expectation values of local fields for the two-Parameter Family of integrable field theories introduced and studied by Fateev [Nucl. Phys. B 473 (1996) 509]. Using this result we propose an explicit expression for the vacuum expectation values of local operators in parafermionic sine-Gordon models and in integrable perturbed SU (2) coset conformal field theories.
