The practical teaching reform of specific nursing has become an important direction for the current teaching development of anesthesia nursing.In addition, the current traditional teaching mode, situational teaching mode or CBL are hard to meet the teaching requirements of anesthesia nursing.The dimensional teaching mode of Pbl has gradually entered clinical application and gained considerable development.The nursing of this department applied Pbl teaching mode, with which it has successfully stimulated the activity and creativity of students, cultivated good team spirit and clinical nursing thinking mode for the students, improved students' ability to deal with clinical nursing issues.Meanwhile, it also strengthened the interactions between teachers and students, by which it reached the teaching target. Journal of Geophysical Research, 2012Co-Authors: Bo Xie, Jimmy Chi Hung Fung, Allen Chan, Alexis K H LauAbstract:[1] A realistic reproduction of planetary boundary layer (Pbl) structure and its evolution is critical to numerical simulation of regional meteorology and air quality. Conversely, insufficient realism in the simulated physical properties often leads to degraded meteorological and air quality prognostic skills. This study employed the Weather Research and Forecasting model (WRF) to evaluate model performance and to quantify meteorological prediction differences produced by four widely used Pbl schemes. Evaluated were two nonlocal Pbl schemes, YSU and ACM2, and two local Pbl schemes, MYJ and Boulac. The model grid comprised four nested domains at horizontal resolutions of 27 km, 9 km, 3 km and 1 km respectively. Simulated surface variables 2 m temperature and 10 m wind at 1 km resolution were compared to measurements collected in Hong Kong. A detailed analysis of land-atmosphere energy balance explicates heat flux and temperature variability among the Pbl schemes. Differences in vertical profiles of horizontal velocity, potential temperature, bulk Richardson number and water vapor mixing ratio were examined. Diagnosed Pbl heights, estimated by scheme specific formulations, exhibited the large intrascheme variance. To eliminate formulation dependence in Pbl height estimation, lidar measurements and a unified diagnosis were jointly used to reanalyze Pbl heights. The diagnosis showed that local Pbl schemes produced shallower Pbl heights than those of nonlocal Pbl schemes. It is reasonable to infer that WRF, coupled with the ACM2 Pbl physics option can be a viable producer of meteorological forcing to regional air quality modeling in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) Region.

interleukin 6 dependent growth in a newly established plasmablastic lymphoma cell line and its therapeutic targets

This study reports the establishment and characterization of a new cell line, Pbl-1, derived from a patient with AIDS-associated Pbl. Morphological assessment of Pbl-1 indicated plasma-cell differentiation with a CD20(−) CD38(+) CD138(+) immunophenotype and IgH/c-myc translocation. The cell line harbours Epstein-Barr virus, but a 52.7-kbp length defect was identified in its genome, resulting in no expression of viral microRNAs encoded in the BamHI-A Rightward Transcript region. Importantly, supplementation of culture medium with >5 ng/mL of interleukin-6 (IL-6) was required for Pbl-1 growth. Starvation of IL-6 or addition of tocilizumab, an inhibitory antibody for the IL-6 receptor, induced apoptosis of Pbl-1. Transduction of IL-6 into Pbl-1 by lentivirus vector induced autologous growth without IL-6 supplementation of culture medium. These data indicate the IL-6 dependency of Pbl-1 for proliferation and survival. mTOR inhibitors induced cell death effectively, suggesting mTOR in the IL-6 signalling pathway is a potential therapeutic target for Pbl. This established Pbl cell line will be a useful tool to further understand the pathophysiology of Pbl and aid the future development of Pbl treatment.

Boundary-Layer Meteorology, 2003Co-Authors: W G Cheon, Songyou Hong, Siegfried RaaschAbstract:Modifications of the widely used K-profile model of the planetary boundary layer (Pbl), reported by Troen and Mahrt (TM) in 1986, are proposed and their effects examined by comparison with large eddy simulation (LES) data. The modifications involve three parts. First, the heat flux from the entrainment at the inversion layer is incorporated into the heat and momentum profiles, and it is used to predict the growth of the Pbl directly. Second, profiles of the velocity scale and the Prandtl number in the Pbl are proposed, in contrast to the constant values used in the TM model. Finally, non-local mixing of momentum was included. The results from the new Pbl model and the original TM model are compared with LES data. The TM model was found to give too high Pbl heights in the Pbl with strong shear, and too low heights for the convection-dominated Pbl, which causes unrealistic heat flux profiles. The new Pbl model improves the predictability of the Pbl height and produces profiles that are more realistic. Moreover, the new Pbl model produces more realistic profiles of potential temperature and velocity. We also investigated how each of these three modifications affects the results, and found that explicit representation of the entrainment rate is the most critical.

The Pbl with different thermodynamic stability across the whole of China, however, is not yet well understood. In this study, the occurrence frequency and spatial distribution of the convective boundary layer (CBL), neutral boundary layer (NBL), and stable boundary layer (SBL) were systematically investigated, based on intensive summertime soundings launched at 1400 Beijing time (BJT) throughout China’s radiosonde network (CRN) for the period 2012 to 2016. Overall, the occurrences of CBL, NBL, and SBL account for 70%, 26%, and 4%, respectively, suggesting that CBL dominates in summer throughout China. In terms of the spatial pattern of Pbl height, a prominent north–south gradient can be found with higher Pbl height in northwest China.
