  • dynamic projection mapping system for an augmented character in Performing Art
International Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, 2012
Co-Authors: Semi Kim, Jaeyoung Kim, Bonhwa Choi, Junghwan Sung
    Abstract:

We designed dynamic projection mapping system for augmented character in Performing Art. Motion data collection in coordinate space should be acquired to track shape and movement of a character and project on the character in real time. Also, interactive and three-dimensional contents need to be identical precisely to the character. Previous studies have shown augmented character with shape recognition technology using infrared cameras/Kinect. In this study, we present dynamic projection mapping system process using Microsoft's Kinect sensor and Game engine, Unity3D for projection mapping on real character with interactive and three dimensional contents.

  • KinoAI et le carnet audiovisuel : une solution plurielle pour l’étude des répétitions
European Journal of Theatre and Performance, 2020
    Co-Authors: Rémi Ronfard, Julie Valero
    Abstract:

KinoAI et le carnet audiovisuel : une solution plurielle pour l'étude des répétitions The ever-growing production of video traces of theatrical work, is both an opportunity and a challenge for researchers in Performing Art studies. In this communication, we report on the work of an interdisciplinary team of computer scientists, Performing Art researchers and stage and video Artists, towards the common goal of transforming raw video recordings of theatre rehearsals into meaningful movie narratives. Our prototype system, KinoAI, combines sophisticated Artificial intelligence techniques with a careful dramaturgic analysis of the rehearsals. We present extensive field experiments and propose new research directions.
