    Abstract:

    An access control model for Semantic Web should be compatible with the corresponding semantic model. The access control procedure(s) should also take the semantic relationships between the entities (specified as ontologies) into account. Considering the benefits of logic-Based models and the description logic foundation of Semantic Web, in this paper, we propose an access control model Based on a temporal variant of description logics (TL-ALCF). This logical schema enables us to express history constrained policies to enrich the Policy-Base with dynamic properties Based on previous accesses.The specification of each component of the model as well as the approach to define history constrained policies along with some clarifying examples are presented. The access control procedure of the model is proposed over the inference services of TL-ALCF.

  • State-Space Modeling and Analysis of Pull-Controlled Production Systems

    Abstract:

    A methodology that automatically generates the state space models of pull-controlled production systems is presented. The state space model generated by the algorithm is then used to evaluate the performance of these systems. In addition to long run measures such as the production rate, WIP levels, average backlog, fill rate, etc., the exact distribution of the number of parts produced in a short period of time, the distribution of the time to produce a given number of parts, and the distribution of the cycle time are also derived. This methodology can be applied to a wide range of discrete material flow production systems that can be modelled as Markov chains. The deterministic processing time model is considered to explain the methodology in detail. The state space models of unreliable automated production lines controlled by the kanban, constant WIP, Control Point Policy, Base Stock, and hybrids of these policies are generated and analysed.

    Abstract:

    Recently, Science and Technology (S&T) Policy has risen as critical aspects of economic development. In fact, S&T Policy should support adoption and diffusion of countries' competitive technologies for economy and national development. Therefore, Policymakers need to indicators that describe the level of adoption and diffusion of these technologies. In this paper by reviewing the literature of the S&T Policymaking, i.e. public Policy, S&T Policymaking process and tools, innovation systems functions, various measures have been generated. Then, the labelled Critical Success Factors (CSFs) consisting of Policy-Base factor, law and regulation, market, structure, technology and education and learning are validated through a real case study in National Iranian of Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC). Confirmatory factor analysis and DEMATEL techniques are applied to prove the proposed CSFs.
