Protection Mechanism of Possession Sensitive Attributes Based on Improved Policy Database
Computer Engineering, 2008Co-Authors: Liu Bai-lingAbstract:Automated trust negotiation is an iterative process that establishes trust gradually between strangers by requesting and disclosing digital credentials.Protection of sensitive information in automated trust negotiation has been drawn much attention. In order to solve this problem, formal definition of relevant attributes is given.Relation model of relevant attributes is designed.A desideratum of Policy for relevant attributes based on the relation model is presented. And the desideratum is enforced in a relevance contractor, which is an addition to the Policy Database system as improvement. The relevance contractor is used to check whether the policies satisfy the desideratum.

High Efficiency Query Algorithm of Large Capacity Security Policy Database in IPSec
Computer Engineering, 2003Co-Authors: Li JunAbstract:IPSec is a kind of network security protocol, which is popularly used these years. One of its applications, VPN gateway, supports more security Policy Database (SPDB) by requirement. Since each in-out IP packet involves query to SPDB, efficiency of query algorithm is most important. The article designs a kind of SPDB organization based on key tree and corresponding query algorithm, which makes average query length shorten a lot.

Policy Engine as a Service (PEaaS): An approach to a reliable Policy management framework in cloud computing environments
Proceedings - 2016 IEEE 4th International Conference on Future Internet of Things and Cloud FiCloud 2016, 2016Co-Authors: Faraz Fatemi Moghaddam, Philipp Wieder, Ramin YahyapourAbstract:Security challenges are the most important obstacle for advancement of IT-based on-demand services and cloud computing as an emerging technology. In this paper, a structural Policy management engine has been introduced to enhance the reliability of managing different policies in clouds and to provide standard and also dedicated security levels (rings) based on capabilities of the cloud provider and requirements of cloud customers. Accordingly, Policy Database has been designed based on capabilities and Policy engine establishes appropriate relations between Policy Database and SLA engine to provide security terms as a service. Furthermore, Policy match maker and reasoning engine have been designed for syntactic and semantic analysis of security requests based on three-levels of protection ontology to enhance the process of Policy management in clouds.

Research on Network Tunnel Proxy Models
Computer Engineering, 2007Co-Authors: Niu YanAbstract:This paper presents tunnel proxy mechanism that acts as a proxy for main tunnel protocols and monitors tunnels in the whole course of tunnel lifecycle. Two tunnel proxy models are proposed. The first one is the traditional tunnel proxy model and the second one expands the first one.A framework of tunnel proxy system is presented and several components in this system are defined, such as access Policy Database, access control server, system log, tunnel information Database and tunnel proxy server. In comparison with tunnel technology and proxy technology, tunnel proxy mechanism provides more security.

Applied Services Trade Policy: A Guide to the Services Trade Policy Database and the Services Trade Restrictions Index
2020Co-Authors: Ingo Borchert, Batshur Gootiiz, Joscelyn Magdeleine, Juan A. Marchetti, Aaditya Mattoo, Ester Rubio, Evgeniia ShannonAbstract:This paper describes the Services Trade Policy Database, a joint initiative by the World Bank and the World Trade Organization Secretariat, which builds on a Database developed by the World Bank nearly 10 years ago and draws on a recent Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Database. The Services Trade Policy Database offers comparable information on services trade policies for 68 economies in 23 subsectors across five broad areas -- financial services, telecommunications, distribution, transportation, and professional services. The Database features several improvements. First, the data are collected according to a newly developed Policy classification, consistent with the earlier World Bank Database and the current Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Database, enabling a comparison of services policies over a significant period and across a large cross-section of industrial and developing economies. Second, in addition to trade policies, the Database contains information on licensing conditions and data restrictions. Third, Policy restrictiveness is quantified following a more systematic approach that aggregates the information within a single consistent and transparent framework. Building on these innovations will make it possible to identify global patterns of services trade policies and secular trends in Policy making over the past decade.
