    Abstract:

    Objective To explore the effects of advanced glycation end products on the Postthrombosis Syndrome. Methods The 44patients with PTS as PTS group,30cases of DVT patients without PTS as non-PTS group and 30 normal person as control group,AGEs were measured by comparing,the same time according to the severity of embolic and hemodynamic classification for statistical comparison.Results PTS group,non-PTS group,the control group of advanced glycation end products content and contrast the differences were statistically significant(P0.05),PTS embolism in patients with lower limb AGEs content and serum level of positive correlation hemodynamics in patients with limb grading PTS was positively correlated with serum AGEs content.Conclusion The formation and prognosis of lower extremity DVT and PTS is closely related to AGEs.

  • Endovascular interventional treatment of Cockett Syndrome

    Abstract:

    Objective To evaluate endovascular interventional treatment for Cockett Syndrome. Methods In this study, 180 Cockett Syndrome cases underwent endovascular interventional treatment from 1995 to 2004. In group A (100 cases) with no thrombosis, the primary patency was achieved in 91 cases, percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) was performed in 3 cases, received 88 cases receiving PTA and endovascular stent. In group B (80 cases) with thrombosis, primary patency was achieved in 70 cases, including PTA in 55 cases, and PTA combined with endovascular stent in 15 cases. Result There was no mortality nor lung artery embolism postoperatively. Thrombosis in stent was found in 3 cases in group A and 3 cases in group B, recurrence of thrombosis developed in 4 cases in group B postoperatively. 74 cases in group A and 56 cases in group B were followed-up for 2 months to 8 years (mean 37 months) , thrombosis developed in stent in 2 cases, iliac vein occlusion in 8 cases in group A. Postthrombosis Syndrome was found in 10 cases, thrombosis in stent in 3 cases, recurrence of thrombosis in 5 cases, iliac vein occlusion in 7 cases in group B. Conclusion Endovascular interventional treatment is microinvasive, safe and effective for patients of Cockett Syndrome.
