    Abstract:

    Increasingly many software development organizations must pursue at least a level 3 CMMI certification to compete in the marketplace. Not all software organizations are under this constraint, but the CMMI model offers benefit beyond just a marketing advantage. Agile methods have taken hold in many of the same organizations that stand to gain benefit from CMMI. CMMI adds some stress to the Agile approach by nature of more detailed planning and tracking. Microsoft and other software development organizations have endeavored to automate the more tedious aspects of CMMI, thus making it easier to support agile approaches within more rigid frameworks. The Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) initially founded on Microsoft software best practices observed internally and externally has expanded to integrate automated software configuration for team projects. The Team Foundation Server (TFS) product leverages MSF and supports both CMMI and Agile as Process Templates and provides tools around these Templates to automate the use of either approach. In this paper, we explore how Microsoft has integrated these approaches into TFS, the rationale and implications for selecting one approach over another and how agile practices can be integrated into a CMMI framework.

    Abstract Contrary to the ‘substructure imprinting approach’ of larger molecule like folic acid, which often leads molecular recognition for both folic acid and structural analogues containing pteridine and glutamic acid substructures, a molecularly imprinted polymer capable of binding specifically folic acid has been prepared by stoichiometric imprinting Process (Template/monomer molar ratio, 1:3) creating multiple binding sites within the cross-linked hyperbranched polymer. Dendrimer-like chains were obtained by an ‘initiator-fragment incorporation radical polymerization’ technique involving a new trifunctional monomer, 2,4,6-trisacrylamido-1,3,5-triazine. An electrochemical sensor was developed for the selective and quantitative recognition of folic acid, using a preanodized sol–gel coated pencil graphite (grade 2B) electrode with imprinted polymer immobilized to its exterior surface. During preconcentration step at +0.8 V (with respect to Ag/AgCl), the analyte recapture at pH 2.5 in aqueous environment simultaneously involved mixed hydrophobically driven hydrogen bondings and ionic interactions with pteridine substructure and purely hydrogen bonding interactions with glutamic acid residue of folic acid. The encapsulated analyte was instantly oxidized and then cathodically stripped off responding differential pulse cathodic stripping voltammetric signal. The folic acid was selectively detected with a limit of detection of 0.002 μg mL −1 (3 σ , RSD ≤3.0%), without any cross-reactivities and real matrix complications.

    Abstract:

    Companies have to adhere to compliance requirements. Typically, both, business experts and compliance experts, are involved in compliance analysis of business operations. Hence, these experts need a common understanding of the business Processes for effective compliance management. In this paper, we argue that Process Templates generated out of compliance requirements can be used as a basis for negotiation among business and compliance experts. We introduce a semi automated approach to synthesize Process Templates out of compliance requirements expressed in Linear Temporal Logic (LTL). As part of that, we show how general constraints related to business Process execution are incorporated. Building upon existing work on Process mining algorithms, our approach to synthesize Process Templates considers not only control-flow, but also data-flow dependencies. Finally, we elaborate on the application of the derived Process Templates and present an implementation of our approach.
