  • Modelling of an Electrohydraulic Proportional Valve with a Synchronous Motor
Strojniski Vestnik-journal of Mechanical Engineering, 2015
    Co-Authors: Andrzej Milecki, Dominik Rybarczyk
    Abstract:

This paper presents the design of Proportional Valve with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). The proposed Valve is described, and its history is briefly reviewed. Basic equations describing the Valve are formulated and its simulation model is implemented in MATLABSimulink software. Selected nonlinearities are included in this model. In order to determine the basic parameters of the discussed Proportional Valve, a test stand is built, which enables Valve investigations. In this test stand, a Valve control system based on programmable logic controller (PLC) with a touch panel and inverter module is implemented and used for investigations. The Valve flow characteristics and step responses obtained in simulations are presented. These characteristics are compared with results obtained in experimental investigations. As a result, the Valve simulation model is modified and improved.

  • Modeling and Control of Proportional Valve with Synchronous Motor
    Solid State Phenomena, 2015
    Co-Authors: Andrzej Milecki, Dominik Rybarczyk
    Abstract:

The paper describes the research results of modeling and control of Proportional Valve with synchronous motor type PMSM (Permanent Magnets Synchronous Motor). In the paper, a simulation model of the proposed Valve was developed and described. The model included the square root flow characteristics, nonlinearity of the hydraulic actuator, Valve dead zone and saturation of the flow. The study included the investigations of the basic characteristics, such as Valve flow characteristic and step responses. In order to determine the basic parameters of the Valve, the test stand was built, on which the new Valve and the servo drive with this Valve were tested. A servo drive control system was based on PLC with touch panel and inverter module. In the paper, the chosen investigations results of the Valve and the servo drive system are presented and shortly discussed.

  • A Spool Displacement Control System of Proportional Valve Based on Digital Observer
    Key Engineering Materials, 2010
Co-Authors: Xiang Bing Kong, Hai-yang Wang
    Abstract:

To solve the problems that general Proportional Valve can’t meet the requirements of high precision control, the paper describes the generation mechanism of kinetic energy in the accurate spool displacement control system of the small flow rate Proportional Valve. The mechanism of kinetic energy and displacement control of spool under disturbance are discussed quantitatively. Based on DSP and the mathematical model established, the digital state observer feedback control system is designed. The experiment shows that the system can restrain disturbance effectively, and the control accuracy of spool displacement is high, which is up to the level of 5μm.
