MartinAbstract:A high-accuracy, large-aperture calibration source for radiometers and infrared Radiation Pyrometers operating in the range from −50 to +200°C is described. It is shown that by means of reflecting surfaces inside the blackbody the requirements for temperature uniformity can be substantially relaxed while high accuracy in the characterization of the effective temperature is maintained.
