  • Intel Random Number generator-based true Random Number generator
Academic journal of the first medical college of PLA, 2004
    Co-Authors: Huang F, Shen H
    Abstract:

Objective To establish a true Random Number generator on the basis of certain Intel chips. Methods The Random Numbers were acquired by programming using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 via register reading from the Random Number generator (RNG) unit of an Intel 815 chipset-based computer with Intel Security Driver (ISD). Result We tested the generator with 500 Random Numbers in NIST FIPS 140-1 and χ2 R-Squared test, and the result showed that the Random Number it generated satisfied the demand of independence and uniform distribution. We also compared the Random Numbers generated by Intel RNG-based true Random Number generator and those from the Random Number Table statistically, by using the same amount of 7500 Random Numbers in the same value domain, which showed that the SD, SE and CV of Intel RNG-based Random Number generator were less than those of the Random Number Table. The result of u test of two CVs revealed no significant difference between the two methods. Conclusion Intel RNG-based Random Number generator can produce high-quality Random Numbers with good independence and uniform distribution, and solves some problems with Random Number Table in acquisition of the Random Numbers.

  • Study on cryptoapi based true Random Number generator
Journal of the Fourth Military Medical University, 2004
    Co-Authors: Shen Hong
    Abstract:

AIM: To establish a true Random Number generator based on Microsoft CryptoAPI. METHODS: The Random Numbers were obtained by programming under Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, via CryptGenRandom function, following the installation of Intel Security Driver (ISD) on an Intel 815E chipset based personal computer. RESULTS: The author tested the generator with 500 Random Numbers in NIST FIPS 140-1 and χ 2 R-Squared test and the result showed that it fitted the need of independent and uniform distribution. The author also compared the Random Numbers produced by Intel RNG based true Random Number generator and those from the Random Number Table with statistics parameters, by using the same amount of 7500 Random Numbers in the same value domain. The result showed that SD, SE and CV of Intel RNG based Random Number generator were smaller than those of Random Number Table. The result of u test of two CVs indicated that there was no difference between the two methods. CONCLUSION: Intel CryptoAPI based Random Number generator can produce high quality Random Numbers with independent and uniform distribution features.

  • Feasibility of hydroxychloroquine adjuvant therapy in pregnant women with systemic lupus erythematosus
    Biomedical Research, 2018
Co-Authors: En Ling Liu, Zheng Liu, Yu Xiu Zhou
    Abstract:

Objective: This study aims to investigate the clinical effects of hydroxychloroquine adjuvant therapy in pregnant women with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Methods: A total of 78 pregnant women with SLE from February 2016 to August 2017 were recruited and divided into two groups, control (n=39) and observation (n=39), by using a Random Number Table. The observation group received hydroxychloroquine adjuvant therapy, whereas the control group received conventional symptomatic treatment. The lupus activity during pregnancy, term birth rate, pregnancy and fetus outcomes, new-born Apgar score, and neonatal weight of the two groups were compared. Results: The occurrence rate of lupus during pregnancy in the observation group was 25.64%, which was significantly lower than that of the control group (51.28%) (P
