Program Studi Teknik Informatika FTI-UKSW, 2016Co-Authors: Debby, Yoel LausisAbstract:Kebutuhan akan sistem penyimpanan yang terintergerasi menjadi kebutuhan mutlak untuk menghemat waktu setiap civitas FTI UKSW dalam menggunakan LAB Komputer yang ada. Hal ini memicu keharusan pembaharuan sistem yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan untuk memudahkan setiap user dalam menggunakan LAB, diterapkanlah konsep Roaming Profile yang memungkinkan user dengan komputer masuk ke domain Windows Server untuk log-on ke komputer di setiap LAB manapun pada jaringan yang sama. Untuk menunjang Roaming Profile dibutuhkan layanan Active Directory sebagai tools manajemen user yang akan memberikan akses penyimpanan secara terpusat, sehingga user memiliki data yang sama pada setiap komputer yang ada di dalam LAB dengan syarat user harus login terlebih dahulu menggunakan account yang sudah di tentukan oleh pihak LAB. Untuk meningkatkan keamanan pada pihak laboran maka dibutuhkan beberapa policy salah satunya adalah GPO (Group Policy Object) yang berfungsi memperketat konfigurasi keamanan dalam sistem, yang memberi batasan untuk mengakses aplikasi tertentu di setiap komputer.The need for a storage system that integration be an absolute necessity to save time every community FTI SWCU using existing Computer LAB. This triggers the requirement of renewal system capable of meeting the needs of each user to facilitate the use of LAB, then applied concept of Roaming Profile that allows a user with the computer into the Windows Server domain to log-on to a computer in each LAB anywhere on the same network. To support Roaming Profile required Active Directory service as a tool of user management that will provide storage access centrally, so users have the same data on any computer that is in the LAB on condition that the user need to login using an account that has been specified by the LAB , To improve security at the laboratory it needs some policy one of which is the GPO (Group Policy Object) that serves to tighten the security configuration of the system, which provides limits to access certain applications on each computer

Journal of Spacecraft TT&C Technology, 2015Co-Authors: Liu HuipinAbstract:In enterprise networks based on active directory,aProfile server is normally used to store user Profiles,allowing users to access their personal settings when logging into their networks with any machines.Several problems exist,however,when using a Windows server as the Profile server,including vulnerability to virus attacks,low performance,and lack of service continuity.To address these problems,we did a great amount of research on the possible techniques utilizing a Linux server as the Profile server while providing file saving and reading services for Windows users with Samba.In the meantime,in order to improve the performance of Linux server and shorten user login time,we also developed several useful techniques,such as redirecting folders like"My Document"and"Desktop"to the Profile server,optimization of operating system and Samba,and so forth.By implementing the above techniques,the Profile server has become more stable,and user login time has been shortened dramatically.
