CHAPTER 24 – Z
The Mathematica Handbook, 1992Co-Authors: Martha L. Abell, James P. BraseltonAbstract:This chapter presents a list of built-in Mathematica objects starting with the alphabet Z. It discusses and illustrates the uses of ZeroTest and Zeta. ZeroTest is an option used with Inverse, LinearSolve, NullSpace, and Rowreduce to indicate a function to apply to each combination of matrix elements to determine if the combinations are zero. This option is most useful with the setting ZeroTest-> (Expand [#]==0 &) when working with matrices that are quite complicated symbolically. The default setting for this option is ZeroTest-> (Together [#]==0 &). RiemannZeta [s] represents the Riemann zeta function ζ (s).
