    The complexity of senior high School Education determines the difficulty to run a senior high School.However,the current simplification of the School running results in a series of problems:the official -orientation of the nomination of principals,the simplification of the running pattern,the overemphasis on scores as evaluation criterion,and the overemphasis on quantity.Only when the complxity of senir high School Education are given significant attention to and the educators who know senior high School Education well run Schools according to the laws,could the sound development of senior high School Education be achieved.

    Compulsory Education is the foundation of future talents. Because of age, children receive dual Education from both parents and Schools. However, the present case sees separation of the two functions, which does not tally with the development of society. In cooperation with the reform of Education, this article conceives a few plans for parents' participating in School Education programs. The plans aim at integrating the role of parents into School Education so as to improve Education quality.

  • Children’s access to pre‐School Education in Bangladesh

    Abstract:

    Using the Education Watch household survey database, this paper explores children’s access to pre‐School Education in Bangladesh. Participation in pre‐School Education has been increasing in Bangladesh at the rate of 0.6% per year and the net enrolment rate was found to be 13.4% in 2005. Enrolment of over‐aged children in pre‐School Education made the gross enrolment ratio as high as 30.5%. However, over half of the four to five year olds at School were actually enrolled in primary School and not in pre‐School. Moreover, 71% of the four‐ to five‐year group were out of School. Only a third of the four‐ to five‐year‐old children enrolled in Schools had the opportunity to attend the English‐medium kindergartens or NGO‐run non‐formal Schools, both of which provide better quality pre‐School Education. Urban children, especially those with educated parents and from more privileged socio‐economic backgrounds, were more likely to have access to pre‐School Education.     Pre-School Education is the foundation of national Education,especially in rural areas.Owing to geographical,social,economic and historical factors,rural pre-School Education in Shaanxi province has not been paid enough attention,and is still insufficient comparing with developed areas.This paper,takes Shaanxi Province as an example,briefly describes the current situation of pre-School Education,tries to identify the problems and propose measures to promote the sustainable development of Shaanxi rural pre-School Education by the methods of questionnaire and interview.

    During recent years,our country has paid more and more attention to pre-School Education,which is an important component of national Education system.However,in rural areas,pre-School Education is not very satisfactory.There are so many problems such as unreasonable distribution of kindergartens,backward Education conditions,Education with the mode of primary School,unstable teaching staff,low quality of teaching staff,and uncompleted management system,etc.These problems have become bottleneck to the development of rural pre-School Education.We should take measures,such as making general plan,conducting reasonable distribution,perfecting fund security mechanism and management system,strengthening teaching staff,and so on,to help rural pre-School Education over the bottleneck.
