Computer Simulation, 2008Co-Authors: T U ShubaiAbstract:The SeaBed Mining vehicle is hydraulic driven, low speed and tracked vehicle. The steering performance of the vehicle is very important for path programming and barrier avoiding in Mining. In this paper, the real turning radius of the SeaBed Mining vehicle is analyzed, and a control method for realizing target turning radius is put forward. Moreover,the environment of SeaBed is very complicated. Because of the extra soft SeaBed sediment, the vehicle works with high slip. It is demanded that the speed synchronization control of lateral tracks possesses high performance. The speed synchronization control of lateral tracks is realized by feedback control of the hydraulic motor speed in the case that the vehicle works with slip. Finally,a hydraulic drive speed synchronization system based on fuzzy PID is designed.

Control Engineering of China, 2011Co-Authors: Shuang ZhiAbstract:Due to the problem of the Sea-Bed Mining vehicle deviating from the prescriBed path in the process of working,a kind of control method of linear path tracking based on adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference(ANFIS) is presented,and the fuzzy neural network controller is designed according to training date,thus avoiding the difficulty of establishing the expert knowledge base and the accurate mathematical model in the process of control.On this basis,the electro-mechanical travelling control model of inner loop using PID speed control and outer loop using ANFIS path control is established.The simulation which is about the vehicle deviating from the prescriBed path when climbing over unilateral obstacles is achieved.The simulation results show the correctness of the model and the validity of the proposed method.

The International Journal of Marine and Coastal Law, 2003Co-Authors: Zou KeyuanAbstract:The international deep Sea-Bed area, under the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, is named "the Area", which, together with its resources, is designated the common heritage of mankind. The International SeaBed Authority (ISA), as the representative of mankind, manages all activities in the Area. China has been conducting deep Sea-Bed activities since the 1980s. It signed an exploration contract with the ISA and has obtained a Mining zone block of 75,000 square kilometres in the Pacific Sea-Bed. This article aims to review and assess China's efforts in deep Sea-Bed exploration activities since the 1980s by looking at the questions of when China began its deep Sea-Bed activities and how it has been working with the International SeaBed Authority. It will also examine why China has exerted, and continues to exert, efforts in the international Sea-Bed area, and what the implications of China's relevant law and practice are for the emergence and development of the international regime for deep Sea-Bed Mining.
