quantitative analyze of the large new built Seagoing Vessel under the influence of the wind and flow over anhui area of yangtze river
Journal of Wuhan University of Technology, 2014Co-Authors: Pan WeichaAbstract:The navigation risk has been analyzed,in order to keep the safety control of new large Seagoing Vessel formation towing through Anhui section of the Yangtze River in narrow channel. The required navigation channel width and fleet control force under the influence of wind and flow was comprehensive consideration, and its adaptability was decided by the ships maneuvering theory and mathematical method. This paper confirmed the wind, flow index and the allocate equipment of towing tug power under the limit navigation to keep the safety of new-built Seagoing Vessel.

maneuvering Seagoing Vessel navigating in yangtze river in the restricted visibility
Journal of Qingdao Ocean Shipping Mariners College, 2008Co-Authors: Wang WeiAbstract:This article describes the maneuvering measures of Seagoing-Vessel from the Vessel's activity rules and the methods of the ship's collision avoidance at a short distance in the restricted visibility, and makes some relevant recommendations. The purpose is to make the Vessel's officers be inspired. It is useful for the safety navigation of Seagoing-Vessel in Yangtze River in the restricted visibility, and it also has the reference significance for the Vessel's officers in practical application.

navigation risk and countermeasure of large Seagoing Vessel sailing in yangtze river
Logistics Engineering and Management, 2011Co-Authors: Liu JianhuaAbstract:This article first analysis the navigationg risks of Large Seagoing Vessel sailing in Yangtze rive from ships density、 route characteristic、fluent characteristic、river mouth as well as special-purpose route anf navigation environment;then according to navigation experience for many years, proposed a series of safety measure for Large Seagoing Vessel sailing in Yangtze rive.

pilot test of vacuum membrane distillation for seawater desalination on a ship
Desalination, 2006Co-Authors: Aoku ZhuAbstract:Abstract In this paper, a pilot vacuum membrane distillation device, using polypropylene hollow fiber, was designed and installed on a Seagoing Vessel to investigate the operating conditions. During operation, the incoming seawater was heated by the waste-heat generated from the Vessel engine. It was found that this device could reach a desalting degree of 99.99% and a membrane flux of 5.4 kg/m2h at 55°C and −0.093 Mpa. The results obtained from this pilot test are in accord with the previous lab experiment results.

determination of real time positions of a Seagoing Vessel based on real time video
108, 2010Co-Authors: Stig HornangAbstract:This thesis investigates the possibility of determining the position of a Seagoing Vessel based solely on the video streams from multiple cameras. The problem is addressed in relation to offshore crane operations where there is relative movement between supply Vessel and crane which is mounted on a rig or platform. The thesis starts by describing the offshore crane scenario and states the required properties of a prototype system. The video analysis starts by deriving an algorithm for finding the Vessel in the video stream. Other algorithms for video tracking, finding corresponding points and estimating position and attitude of the Vessel's cargo deck are presented. The system is implemented as a C++ application and is tested in a downscaled environment with a realistic, wave-simulated ship model. The measured positions are compared with the real positions and the accuracy of the signals are analyzed.
