    Abstract:

    Soil's physical properties are one of the factors that influence the productivity of Shallots. This research aims to determine the correlation of soil's physical properties towards productivity of Shallots in Watershed of Lake Toba. This research was carried out in the center of the shallot planting area in the area of Lake Toba, Muara District, Bakti Raja District, Silahisabungan District, Merek District, Haranggaol District, and Samosir Island, which have at altitude 911 – 1432 meters above sea level. This research used survey methods which includes literature studies, preparation of the questionnaire, survey around of Lake Toba and processing data from survey in Lake Toba area. The results showed that soil's physical properties and the productivity of Shallots had a correlation with value of r = 0.71. The best soil texture for the cultivation of Shallots in Watershed of Lake Toba is sandy loam. Sifat fisik tanah merupakan salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas bawang merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan sifat fisik tanah terhadap produktivitas bawang merah di daerah tangkapan air Danau Toba. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di sentra kawasan penanaman bawang merah di daerah sekitaran Danau Toba yaitu Kecamatan Muara, Kecamatan Bakti Raja, Kecamatan Silahisabungan, Kecamatan Merek, Kecamatan Haranggaol, dan Pulau Samosir. Ketinggian tempat 911-1432 meter diatas permukaan laut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode survei dan kuisioner serta pengolahan data dengan analisis regresi pada aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sifat fisik tanah dan produktivitas bawang merah memiliki hubungan dengan nilai r = 0.71. Tekstur tanah yang terbaik untuk budidaya bawang merah di DTA Danau Toba adalah lempung berpasir.

    Multiple productions (PROLIGA) of shallot technology is a shallot technology package that presented by Indonesian Center or Horticultural Research and Development, IAARD, Ministry of Agriculture. This technology contains some of the technology components that can increase the productivity of shallot from only 10 tonnes/ha becomes more. The purpose of this research is to identify the perception of participatory farmers about the innovation characteristics and adoption potential of each shallot’s PROLIGA technology components. A pilot of shallot’s PROLIGA technology has been done in Sukarami’s Agro Science Park, Solok Regency to provide a pilot about this technology to the farmers by involving 30 participatory farmers. Result from this research is almost all of the participatory farmers considered the shallot’s PROLIGA technology components have relative advantage, compatible, not complex, easy to observe, and easy to try except in True Seed of Shallot (TSS) technology component that becomes the technology that incompatible, very complex, and hard to try. Adoption potential of each technology components also high except in TSS technology components. It needs to consider the availability and easiness of the technology so it can be applicable

Paket yang terdiri dari beberapa komponen teknologi ini mampu meningkatkan produktivitas bawang merah dari yang awalnya hanya 10 ton/ha menjadi lebih berlipat ganda. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi persepsi petani partisipatif terhadap karakteristik inovasi teknologi serta potensi adopsi dari masing-masing komponen teknologi PROLIGA bawang merah. Sebuah demplot teknologi PROLIGA bawang merah dilakukan di Taman Sains Pertanian (TSP) Sukarami, Kabupaten Solok untuk memberikan percontohan mengenai teknologi ini kepada para pengguna dengan melibatkan 30 orang petani partisipatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah petani partisipatif menilai hampir seluruh komponen teknologi PROLIGA bawang merah memiliki keunggulan relatif, sesuai, tidak rumit, mudah untuk diamati, dan mudah untuk diuji coba kecuali pada komponen teknologi penggunaan True Seed of Shallot (TSS) yang dinilai oleh mayoritas petani sebagai komponen teknologi yang sangat tidak sesuai, sangat rumit, dan sangat sulit untuk diuji coba. Potensi adopsi komponen-komponen teknologi PROLIGA bawang merah juga tinggi kecuali pada komponen teknologi penggunaan TSS.
