    Abstract:

    Antivenom is the most effective method currently available for the treatment of poisonous snake bite. Allergic reactions to antivenom have been reported in the past. Here we shared a case of allergic reactions to antivenom in an old male patient who was bitten twice by the same snake (probably same one) at the same biting site within a month whereas the patient did not show any allergic disorder in the first bitten. Envenomations twice in a short period time by the same kind of snake are very rare. Physician should be alert to the occurrence of allergic reactions in treating this type of patients with antivenom. The Skin Allergy Test has a certain value in predicting the allergic response before the second use of antivenom. Desensitization may reduce the incidence of allergic reactions, but this is insufficient. Rather than non-IgE-mediated immediate hypersensitivity, patients receiving the second treatment of antivenom may develop IgE-mediated immediate hypersensitivity. Once happened, the antivenom treatment should be stopped promptly and anti-Allergy treatment should be given immediately.

    Bronchial Asthma (BA) is one of the most common chronic respiratory diseases among children. 70 children aged 6-17 years old were observed. The control group consisted of 20 virtually healthy children, randomized by age. Standard methods of examination in accordance with the unified clinical protocol “Bronchial Asthma in Children” (order of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine on 08.10.2013, No 868) were applied. This file contains the results of the survey, which are grouped by factors [1]. Each side corresponds to a specific patient, individual data (full name) which is encoded. The number before the factor corresponds to the category which names in accordance with the number is presented separately (see section classification of factors). Factors 14.age, 5.Complete blood count, 6.Urinalysis Test, 11.Spirogram, 12.Immunological status, 13: TSLP is presented in quantitative terms. Factors 1.SEVERE PERSISTENT, 1.MODERATE PERSISTENT are encoded with yes / no values ​​(1/0). From the table, 12 factors are removed, which occur as a result of the survey once or twice.     Abstract:

    To prevent contact dermatitis to oxidative hair colouring products, a consumer Test (Skin Allergy Test, SAT) consisting of the open application of the colourant base prior to mixing with the developer is recommended 48 hours before hair colouring. We investigated the sensitivity and specificity of the SAT to detect and prevent contact Allergy to oxidative hair colouring products that contained a range of concentrations of para-phenylenediamine (PPD) and corresponded to different shades (light, medium and dark). Test colouring products containing increasing concentrations of PPD (0.1, 0.5, 1.0 or 1.5%) were applied to 34 PPD-positive hair dye-allergic individuals and to 49 non-allergic control subjects. Allergic reactions were elicited in all PPD-positive subjects whereas none occurred in control PPD-negative subjects. For each subject the eliciting concentration of PPD in the SAT was compared with the PPD concentration range of the group of commercial shades reported as causing reactions by the consumer. In all PPD-positive subjects the eliciting concentrations of PPD in the SAT was within or lower than the range of PPD concentrations in the reported eliciting colourant base of commercial products. In conclusion, our results confirm the excellent predictive value of the SAT over the entire range of PPD concentrations used in oxidative hair colouring products and suggest that the Test is a suitable tool for the secondary prevention of contact allergic reactions to hair colouring products.
