  • intentional deformation and closure of Soft Tissue Defect in open tibial fractures with taylor spatial frame sat nav technique
    Orthopaedic Proceedings, 2018
Co-Authors: Om Lahoti, I Findlay, Naveen Abhishetty
    Abstract:

Purpose of the studyTo use a simple way of manipulating Taylor Spatial Frame to achieve Soft Tissue closure by acute intentional deformation and then gradually achieving anatomical alignment of the fracture without complex deformity and frame parameters. Methods and end results10 consecutive cases of Gustillo III B open fractures of tibia and of Soft Tissue Defect due to infected implant were treated with a new technique of acute intentional deformation using Taylor Spatial frame to successfully close the Soft Tissue Defect without plastic surgery. We describe a new simple technique of achieving anatomical alignment of the fracture after creating complex deformity to close the Soft Tissue Defect. We achieved complete full thickness cover of the exposed bone in all cases without plastic surgery and restored the bone to anatomical alignment. Only one patient needed additional Taylor Spatial Frame total residual prescription to correct minor residual deformity.ConclusionWe describe a simple way of using Taylo...

Conclusion We describe a simple way of using Taylor Spatial Frame (TSF) for acute deformation of Gustillo IIIB tibial fractures and other tibial Defects in order to close Soft Tissue Defects and gradual correction to the anatomical alignment. We have used the Direct Scheduler Utility module of the web-based Software for Taylor Spatial Frames (TSF) to successfully restore the anatomical alignment.

  • Microsurgical repair of The traumatic Soft Tissue Defect of foot
Journal of Practical Hand Surgery, 2008
    Co-Authors: Du Zhao
    Abstract:

Objective To investigate the microsurgery repairs method and effect of the traumatic Soft Tissue Defect of foot. Methods Reconstruction of the traumatic Tissue Defect of foot in 56 cases by pedicled transplantation of dorsal flap, medialis pedis flap, lateral leg flap, thoracicumbilical flap, anterolateral thigh flap. Results All flaps survived-both the function and pedal contour were reserved maximally. Conclusion It can obtain satisfactory result that microsurgical technique to using repair of the traumatic Soft Tissue Defect of foot.

  • Clinial effect of vacuum sealing drainage combined with antibiotic perfusion in the treatment of Soft Tissue Defect of foot.
    Hainan Medical Journal, 2013
    Co-Authors: Yang Yong
    Abstract:

Objective To observe the clinical effect of vacuum sealing drainage combined with antibiotic perfusion in the treatment of Soft Tissue Defect of foot. Methods Vacuum sealing drainage combined with antibiotic perfusion was applied to treat 18 patients with Soft Tissue Defect in foot. The growing status of the wound granulation was observed, the key points of treatment were summarized, and the corresponding measures were proposed. Results The patients' wound granulation grew well. Free skin grafts were performed to repair the wound. The recovery was satisfactory. Conclusion Vacuum sealing drainage combined with antibiotic perfusion can further reduce the infection rate and promote wound healing, which is an effective way to treat Soft Tissue Defect in foot. Good grasping of the key technique points and treatment details would improve the curative rate.
