  • CDVE - The usefulness of CSCW systems in process-sensitive Software engineering environments
Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2006
    Co-Authors: Rafael Duque, Crescencio Bravo
    Abstract:

Software Creation, development and maintenance are activities that require a great quantity of cooperative work. In the last years, several languages to model the diverse Software processes have been proposed. However, these Software Process Modelling Languages (PML) have not ended up being standardized nor being implanted by a majority in industry. The so-called Process-sensitive Software Engineering Environments (PSEE) are Software engineering environments with support to manage PML. Each PSEE proposed has a PML associated, so there is a clear dependence between the Software engineering environment and its modelling language. In this article, the cooperative support that a PSEE should offer is analyzed, and an environment with support for Software PMLs is presented. This environment provides workspaces for distributed synchronous collaboration where work teams can develop a Software project.

  • COMPSAC - Ensuring Architecture Conventions in Multi-site Development
2008 32nd Annual IEEE International Computer Software and Applications Conference, 2008
Co-Authors: Jakub Rudzki, Imed Hammouda, T. Mikkonen
    Abstract:

In a multi-site Software development setting, Creational and validational activities can be distributed and carried out by separate teams. An example of such a distributed development setup is when a system implemented in site A needs to be validated in a remote site B with regard to the component interaction rules dictated by the system architecture. In the current Software engineering practice, support has mainly focused on the Software Creation paying less attention to the needs of the validation phase, which however is becoming increasingly important due to global Software engineering practices. This paper argues that systematic support should be provided to the Software validation based on the assumptions used in the Software Creation using the example of component interactions. Furthermore, the paper presents validational tool support for such a systematic process applied to an industrial project. The findings and experiences of the case study are also reported.

  • TSP - Vacuum Pressure Online Logging Software Creation for a Solar Collector
2020 43rd International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2020
Co-Authors: Radu-stefan Ricman, Roland Szabo, Andrei Burta
    Abstract:

The aim of this work is to present the Creation of a Software for pressure measurements in the vacuum chamber of a solar collector of a thermo-electric hybrid solar system. The solar system is composed of a photovoltaic solar concentrator, which has a cavity of the shape of a parabola and it’s covered with hexagonal mirrors. The solar system has also a solar collector has a vacuum chamber and it is built around a TEG (Thermoelectric Generator) to produce electricity and heated water by converting the temperature difference to electrical current. The vacuum chamber has a vacuum pump. To have a control upon the vacuum system, pressure measurements were made. There is used a pressure transducer, which can measure pressure in the vacuum chamber. The data is logged using the LabVIEW Software environment.
