an image based undetectable Steganographic Technique imust
Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications, 2017Co-Authors: Vaibhav B Joshi, Mehul S RavalAbstract:Steganography is a science of secure communication. It is challenged by a binary steganalyzer which predicts presence or absence of a hidden message within a cover media. Recently proposed quantitative steganalyzers go a step beyond binary detection and estimates the hidden message length. In this paper, we propose a novel image based Steganographic Technique. A preprocessing step is introduced to minimize distortion and the message is embedded using histogram shifting. The statistical features of an image do not change significantly after embedding. We show that the proposed Technique remains undetectable to state-of-the-art; binary and quantitative steganalyzers while the message remains undetectable. The preprocessing also enables iterative embedding, generating higher Steganographic capacity than state-of-the-art.

a secure Steganographic Technique for blind steganalysis resistance
International Conference on Advances in Pattern Recognition, 2009Co-Authors: Mehul S RavalAbstract:A simple yet effective tactic for secure steganography is proposed in this paper that can resist the blind steganalysis. In this method author derives a matrix based on the image content and thus providing the security. This matrix is used by Quantization Index Modulation (QIM) based encoder and decoder. The embedding location of data is also randomized so as to immobilize the self calibration process. It is shown that detection rate of steganalysis scheme to proposed method is close to arbitrary speculation.

Transform Domain based Steganographic Technique for Image Authentication (TDSTIA)
International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Science, 2012Co-Authors: Nabin GhoshalAbstract:The paper proposed a novel Steganographic Technique based on Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) for multimedia copyright protection in frequency domain. The transformation is implemented on sub-image block called mask of size 2 x 2 of spatial components in row major order for the entire image. After transformation the host image gets converted into sub band images. For embedding we choose middle frequency ranges. Single bit of authenticating secret message/image is fabricated in the real part of middle frequency component of each sub-image block. A minor re-adjustment is incorporated in the first component of each mask after embedding to keep the pixel values positive and non fractional in spatial domain. This approach improves the performance of the Steganographic Technique compared to earlier Techniques. Robustness is achieved through embedding secrete bits in variable positions of the carrier image byte determined by pseudo random value and subsequent masking. Experimental results depict enhanced performance of the proposed watermarking Technique in terms of PSNR, IF, and MSE. Keywords: QFT, DFT, DCT, MD and TDSTIA

Steganographic Technique in Z-Domain for Image Authentication (STZ-DIA)
International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Science, 2012Co-Authors: Nabin GhoshalAbstract:This paper deals with a novel Technique for image authentication in Z-domain based on the Discrete two dimensional Z-Transform. The Z-Transform is exploits on sub-image block called mask of size 2 x 2 for frequency components of the corresponding spatial component in row major order. Multimedia Image authentication is done by hiding secret message/image into the real part of the component obtained by discrete two dimensional Z-Transform of the carrier image. A single bit from the authenticating image/message is embedded in middle and low quantum value of carrier image mask. Robustness is achieved through embedding bits in variable positions of carrier image determined by the decimal value of sum of higher three bits of frequency values (i.e. b7+b6+b5). After embedding, a delicate re-adjust phase is incorporated in all frequency components of each mask, to keep the pixel values positive and non-fractional in the spatial domain. The invisibility is conformed by using delicate re-adjust phase. This Technique is also applicable for secrete data transmission through carrier color image by hiding secrete data. Experimental results show the robustness and performance of the proposed watermarking Technique. Keywords: Z-Transform, Inverse Z-Transform, DFT, QFT, DCT

Steganographic Technique for High Volume Secrete Data Transmission through Colour Image (STHVSDTCI)
International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Science, 2011Co-Authors: Nabin Ghoshal, Jyotsna Kumar MandalAbstract:This paper presents a novel Steganographic Technique which demonstrates the secrete data transmission Technique through colour image in frequency domain based on the Discrete Fourier Transformation (DFT) which pertain to colour image authentication. Secrete transmission is done by hiding secrete message/secrete image into the transformed frequency component of source image. The DFT is applied on sub-image block called mask of size 2 x 2 in row major order. Three secrete message/image bits are fabricated within the transformed real frequency component of each source image byte except the LSB of first frequency component of each mask. After embedding, a delicate readjust phase is incorporated in all the frequency component of each mask, to keep the quantum value positive and non fractional in spatial domain. Robustness is achieved by hiding an authenticating or secretes message/image in the frequency component with both positive and negatives quantum values and invisibility is satisfied in spatial domain using delicate re-adjust phase. Inverse DFT (IDFT) is performed as final steps after embedding to transform embedded image in frequency domain to spatial domain. Experimental results conformed that the proposed algorithm performs better than discrete cosine transformation (DCT), Quaternion Fourier Transformation (QFT) based scheme and Spatio Chromatic DFT (SCDFT). Keywords: QFT, DFT, IDFT, DCT, MD and SCDFT

A Session based Multiple Image Hiding Technique using
2016Co-Authors: Tanmay Bhattacharya, Nilanjan Dey, S Bhadra R ChaudhuriAbstract:This work proposes Steganographic Technique for hiding multiple images in a color image based on DWT and DCT. The cover image is decomposed into three separate color planes namely R, G and B. Individual planes are decomposed into subbands using DWT. DCT is applied in HH component of each plane. Secret images are dispersed among the selected DCT coefficients using a pseudo random sequence and a Session key. Secret images are extracted using the session key and the size of the images from the planer decomposed stego image. In this approach the stego image generated is of acceptable level of imperceptibility and distortion compared to the cover image and the overall security is high

Peak-Shaped-Based Steganographic Technique for MP3 Audio
Journal of Information Security, 2013Co-Authors: Raffaele Pinardi, Fabio Garzia, Roberto CusaniAbstract:The aim of this work is the development of a Steganographic Technique for the MP3 audio format, which is based on the Peak Shaped Model algorithm used for JPEG images. The proposed method relies on the statistical properties of MP3 samples, which are compressed by a Modified Discrete Cosine Transform (MDCT). After the conversion of MP3, it’s possible to hide some secret information by replacing the least significant bit of the MDCT coefficients. Those coefficients are chosen according to the statistical relevance of each coefficient within the distribution. The performance analysis has been made by calculating three Steganographic parameters: the Embedding Capacity, the Embedding Efficiency and the PSNR. It has been also simulated an attack with the Chi-Square test and the results have been used to plot the ROC curve, in order to calculate the error probability. Performances have been compared with performances of other existing Techniques, showing interesting results.

Peak-Shaped-Based Steganographic Technique for JPEG Images
EURASIP Journal on Information Security, 2009Co-Authors: Lorenzo Rossi, Fabio Garzia, Roberto CusaniAbstract:A novel model-based Steganographic Technique for JPEG images is proposed where the model, derived from heuristic assumptions about the shape of the DCT frequency histograms, is dependent on a stegokey. The secret message is embedded in DCT domain through an accurate selection of the potentially modifiable coefficients, taking into account their visual and statistical relevancy. A novel block measure, named discrepancy, is introduced in order to select suitable areas for embedding. The visual impact of the Steganographic Technique is evaluated through PSNR measures. State-of-the-art steganalytical test is also performed to offer a comparison with the original model-based Techniques.

Jurnal Ilmiah Flash, 2016Co-Authors: Yohanes Julianto, R. Kristoforus Jawa BendiAbstract:Information security has become important today. Steganography is one of the ways tomake any information secure. It hides information by inserting it in a media or cover. LSB (LeastSignificant Bit)Steganographic Technique has become popular because of its simplicity. LSB(Least Significant Bit) is one algorithm from steganography. The weakness of LSB is bits ofembedded are inserted sequentially. It can be easily tracked. Our research using text as embeddedmessage and WAV audio format as cover-object. We combine LSB and LCG (Linear CongruetialGenerator) to determinant the random position of replacement bit. Outcome of this research is asoftware that was develop by waterfall model and coded in Visual Basic. The result shows thatembedded message can be encode dan decode
