  • Steganography algorithm of image in multiwavelet domain based on grey relational analysis

    Abstract:

    Multiwavelet transform coefficients of image have relativity in adjacent region. Adjusting coefficient which has large relativity can bring influence on vision effect of image. In order to reduce the influence,the paper proposed a steganography of image in multivavelet domain based on Grey Relational Analysis (GRA). The steganography used GRA to compare geometric curve shape of central tree sequence and peripheral tree sequence of multiwavelet tree group in adjacent region,depicted their relativity,consequently found out coefficients tree that has very little relativity with other adjacent point in coefficient matrix as embedded location of secret information. And it made the quality of stegano image better by utilizing more dispersive characteristic of multiwavelet transform coefficient. Experimental result indicates the proposed algorithm has better imperceptibility and robustness.

    Abstract:

    Steganography is the practice of concealing a file, message, image, or video within another file, message, image, or video. The word steganography com- bines the Greek words Steganos, meaning ”covered, concealed, or protected,” and graphein meaning ”writing. As for these days, we would like to keep some files securely so it will not be altered, or removed by someone irresponsible. In this thesis, we proposed a method for Audio steganography using Data En- cryption Standard (DES) and embedded to not just one but two hosts using Least Significant Bit (LSB) algorithm thats why its called Double Audio Steganography. The main objectives of this thesis is to hide audio steganography information inside another audio without people being suspicious and we can do it more safely and more securely. Also, this thesis resulted an audio greater than 20 dB, which is a standard distorted file and a 0 Bit Error Rate (BER) value

  • A novel privacy preserving visual cryptography based scheme for telemedicine applications

    Abstract:

    With huge quantity of patient’s medical images to be shared between specialists and clinics for improving medical diagnosis, need for privacy protection of patient details has increased. To achieve this, care must be taken that during reception, image quality must be preserved and retrieved image should be error free. In this paper, a unique concept of tiling has been used on image patterns using visual cryptography to achieve privacy preservation. The medical image is partitioned into frames using the concept of rhombus and in the deformed image tiles are formed within the different partitions, which are transmitted along with encrypted stegano-tiles. The reconstruction of original image is obtained by stacking the tiles and this error free methods performance is tested using multi scale structural similarity index and CUDA enabled GPUs.

    Steganografi merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari, meneliti, dan mengembangkan seni untuk menyembunyikan suatu informasi. Steganografi berasal dari Bahasa Yunani yaitu Steganos yang berarti tersembunyi dan Graptos yang artinya tulisan sehingga secara keseluruhan artinya adalah ‘tulisan tersembunyi’. Teknik steganografi ini sudah dipakai lebih dari 2500 tahun yang lalu untuk menyembunyikan pesan rahasia agar tidak dicurigai oleh orang lain. Karya tulis ini membahas tentang penggabungan antara steganografi dan kriptografi yang kemudian akan diimplementasikannya ke sebuah bahasa pemrograman yaitu Visual Basic 6.0 untuk dijadikan sebagai sebuah tools yang berguna untuk mengamakan data. Teknik steganografi dan kriptografi yang digunakan adalah Teknik LSB (Least Significant Bit) dan algoritma enkripsi RC4, yaitu sebuah algoritma yang digunakan untuk melakukan pengacakan pesan dan password yang ingin disisipkan.     This paper has been proposed for the space domain image steganography. Here, modification of least significant bit (LSB) of picture element of carrier image (CI) is done by the most significant bit (MSB) of secret image (SI). Here, along with information hiding, security is provided by the dynamic key cryptography. The dynamic feature of key is enabled by rotating the key and each rotation of key produces new key. In this technique, pixel selection of carrier image and secret image is done on the basis of pseudo random number (PRN) which provide double layer security against the stegano analytic attack.

    Abstract:

    This paper has been proposed for the image steganography. It is based on a modification of LSB (least significant bit) of pixels and this modification is the replacement of LSB bits of the cover image (CI) pixels that carries the most significant bits (MSB) of data image (DI). This makes the algorithm modest. In steganography of image, security is also a major concern. Here, key based PN (Pseudo Number) sequence is generated. It is used to provide security to algorithm against the stegano-analytic attack. The algorithm also has been improved to detect and locate tampering done by malicious attackers. This is obtained by conversion of image into a fixed point image using GCD (Gaussian convolution and de-convolution) transform.
