    Abstract:

    In order to study effect of the shape of Supporting Disk and sample on the fabric draping performance,a simple fabric draping performances testing device was made and six different kinds of Supporting Disk were designed,that were circle,elliptic,triangular,trapezium,hexagon and cross.Then seven common wool fabrics were picket and made into the same shape with the Supporting Disk to test fabric drape.After that,Auto CAD was used to process the draping image.At last by descriptive statistical analysis and variance analysis,the following conclusions had been got: shape of sample and Supporting Disk both had significant influence on fabric drape and they had obvious interaction.Elliptic sample and hexagon Supporting Disk were the two levels that made the marginal mean of drape coefficient maximum in the factors of sample shape and Supporting Disk shape.The combination of elliptic sample plus hexagon Supporting Disk could reflect drape differences best.
