    A metal Surface Treatment composition including at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a zirconium compound and a titanium compound, and an organosiloxane, which is a polycondensate of organosilane and has in a molecule thereof of at least two amino groups, in which the Degree of polycondensation of the organosiloxane is at least 40%, the content of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the zirconium compound and the titanium compound is predetermined content, the content of the organosiloxane in the metal Surface Treatment composition is predetermined content, and the mass ratio of at least one element selected from the group consisting of the zirconium element and the titanium element contained in the zirconium compound and the titanium compound, respectively, to the silicon element contained in the organosiloxane is a predetermined ratio.

    Abstract:

    Disclosed is an easily handleable composition for metal Surface Treatment which enables to achieve foundation Surface concealment, coating adhesion and corrosion resistance equal to or higher than those obtained by the conventional metal Surface Treatment compositions. This composition for metal Surface Treatment places no burden on the environment. Also disclosed are a method for treating the Surface of a metal material wherein such a composition for metal Surface Treatment is used, and a metal material treated by such a metal Surface Treatment method. Specifically disclosed is a metal Surface Treatment composition used for a Treatment of a metal Surface, which composition contains a zirconium compound and/or titanium compound substantially not containing fluorine, and an inorganic acid and/or a salt thereof. This metal Surface Treatment composition has a pH of not less than 1.5 but not more than 6.5.

    The invention provides an aqueous metal Surface Treatment agent for forming a metal Surface Treatment coating film and a metal Surface Treatment coating film arranged between a metal material and a laminated film and capable of enhancing the tightness of the metal material and the laminated film and improving the corrosion resistance of the metal material. The aqueous metal Surface Treatment agent at least comprises a metallic compound (A), a phosphorus-containing or fluorine-containing compound (B), and water-base resin (C). The metallic compound (A) is selected from one or more than two in the group including zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, or hafnium oxide and has an average grain diameter more than 1nm but less than 500nm. The phosphorus-containing or fluorine-containing compound (B) is selected from one or more than two in the group including a phosphorus compound and a fluorine compound. The water-base resin (C) is selected from one or more than two from a group including polyester resin, urethane resin, polyolefin resin, acrylic resin, polyvinyl resin, polyamide resin, polyimide resin, natural polysaccharides, epoxy resin, and elastomer.

    Provided are a Surface Treatment membrane and a metal Surface Treatment agent which are not susceptible to peeling of the laminate film or resin coating film, even if molding is carried out subsequent to a resin film being laminated or resin-coated onto the Surface of a metal material. Specifically provided is a Surface Treatment membrane which is formed by application to the Surface of a metal material. The mass ratio of nitrogen to carbon (N/C) contained in said Surface Treatment membrane falls within the range 0.005 to 0.5, and the mass ratio of the total metal elements selected from Cr (III), Zr, Ti, V, Nb, Mo, W and Ce to carbon (TM/C) falls within the range of 0.01 to 1.3. This Surface Treatment membrane contains a first water-based resin such as urethane resin, a second water-based resin such as a polyolefin resin, and a water-soluble metal compound containing a metal element such as Cr (III), and the membrane is preferably formed by applying the coating with a metal Surface Treatment agent wherein the first water-based resin and/or the second water-based resin contains a nitrogen-containing functional group.

An aim of the invention is to provide the composition for metal Surface Treatment, the metal Surface Treatment method and the coating method of metal material, wherein composition can obtain corrosion resistance equivalent with chromate Treatment or phosphate Treatment and can form a coating film with excellent adhesiveness of the coating film formed through a coating step after Treatment. The composition for metal Surface Treatment comprises the following components: (A) titanium compound and/or zirconium compound, and (B) condensation reactant of (b1) amino silane and (b2) polysilyl functional silane.
