    ABSTRACT Eighty patients who underwent cementless hip revision surgery were managed postoperatively with a prefabricated, adjustable range-of-motion hip-abduction orthosis. Four patients had both hips revised. The orthosis was incorporated into the patients' nursing and occupational and physical therapy during hospitalization. Patients continued to wear the orthosis whenever they were out of bed for an average of eight weeks after surgery The hip orthosis was used to prevent postoperative dislocation, which some reports have indicated can occur on as many as 20 percent of all revisions. Seven of the 84 hips (8.3 percent) dislocated. The average length of hospitalization was 10 days This article identifies patients most at risk of dislocation, discusses the orthotic Management of anterior and posterior dislocation patients, and provides specific Team protocol

    Objective To explore the method and effect of professional nurse Team Management in operation room.Method The nurses were divided into five professional Teams with a director each Team,which will cooperate with specific surgeries in a relatively fixed Team.Results This practice improved the whole quality of nurses in operation room,promoted the Management level and increased doctors' satisfaction to nurses.Conclusion The professional nurse Team with relatively fixed work time made full use of the function of Team directors,enhanced the mechanism of competition and encouragement,which effectively improved the quality and efficiency of nursing in operation room.

    Abstract:

    Many projects currently used in Software Engineering curricula lack both the "fun factor" needed to engage students, as well as the practical realism of engineering projects that include other computer science disciplines such as Software Engineering, Networks, or Human Computer Interaction. This paper reports on our endeavor to enhance interest and retention in an existing Software Engineering curriculum through the use of computer game-based projects. Specifically, a set of game-centric, project-based modules have been developed that enable students to: (1) actively participate in the different phases of the software lifecycle taking a single project from requirement elicitation to testing and maintenance; (2) expose students to real issues in project and Team Management over the course of a 2-semester project; and at the same time (3) introduce students to the different aspects of computer game design. Preliminary results suggest the merits of our approach, showing improved class participation and performance.

    Abstract:

    Abstract Introduction Congenital epulis or congenital granular cell tumour is a rare benign lesion arising from alveolar mucosa of neonates which can cause respiratory and feeding problems. It is also known as Neumann’s tumour. Females are affected 10 times more frequent. Method A review of medical record was performed. Result A newborn presented with lesion over left lower gum which was seen during antenatal abdominal ultrasonography scan by Obstetrics Team at 35-week of gestation. The case was referred for ex utero intrapartum treatment procedure in view of anticipating upper airway obstruction. Upon delivery via Caesarean section, patient had no obstructive symptoms however was immediately intubated few hours of life to secure airway. Computed tomography scan confirmed a soft tissue mass arising from either lower alveolus or tip of tongue. The lesion was excised and histopathological examination reported as congenital epulis. Conclusion Even though it is a rare case, congenital epulis should be considered as one of differential diagnosis of an oral mass. A multi-disciplinary Team Management is important in view of possibility of upper airway obstruction post delivery.
