  • A concurrent real-time biologically-inspired visual object recognition system
2014 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), 2014
    Co-Authors: Andreas Holzbach, Gordon Cheng
    Abstract:

In this paper, we present an biologically-motivated object recognition system for robots and vision tasks in general. Our approach is based on a hierarchical model of the visual cortex for feature extraction and rapid scene categorization. We modify this static model to be usable in time-crucial real-world scenarios by applying methods for optimization from signal detection theory, information theory, signal processing and linear algebra. Our system is more robust to clutter and supports object localization by approaching the binding problem in contrast to previous models. We show that our model outperforms the preceding model and that by our modifications we created a robust and fast system which integrates the capabilities of biological-inspired object recognition in a Technical Application.

  • Technical Application of Ultrasound-guided Percutaneous Transhepatic Biliary Drainage
Chinese journal of Clinical Medicine, 2020
    Co-Authors: Wang Wenping
    Abstract:

Objective:To discuss the Technical Application and clinical value of ultrasound-guided percutaneous transhepatic bili- ary drainage(PTBD).Methods:Restrospective analysis of 237 times PTBD in 187 cases were done for the operating methods, successive rate, influence factors and complications of this procedure. Results:The successive rate of single puncture of bile duct was up to 96.2%,that of twice puncture was 100%.The successive rate of single drainage was 90.7%,and that of twice drainage was 99.6%.Only one case needed the third-times drainage and was succeeded. The complications were mainly hemobilia(7.6%).Conclusion:Ultrasound-guided PTBD is a safe, less invasive and simple procedure for treating inoperable biliary obstructions.Meanwhile,it provides more chances for other treatments on late-stage oncology patients or obstructive jaundice with severe infection.
