  • Research on transfer of Technology Application domain based on set theory
Studies in Science of Science, 2014
    Co-Authors: Wu Fei-fe
    Abstract:

We proposed a new research method about transfer of Technology Application domain based on Set Theory. According to the corresponding relation between disciplines and field,we categorized the literatures of certain Technology into different Application domains. First,We define the maximum set, minimum set and cross set of literatures in different Technology domains,by calculating the amount of literatures changed over time in these sets. We realize the goal that researching transfer of Technology Application domain. Research results could help enterprises identify development directions, and allocate resources into research and development perfectly. We showed an example about Technology of wireless power transfer and illustrated the research method we proposed.

  • The Change of Emerging Technology Application Domains Based on Patent Assignee
    R & D Management, 2013
    Co-Authors: Wu Fei-fe
    Abstract:

Obtaining the rule of emerging technologies evoluting in different domains can significantly contribute to fully tap the potential of technologies and promote their maximum economical efficiency.Research in this field, however,is quite limited.Firstly,it defines the Technology Application domain and its change.Secondly,it discusses the limitations of the methodology in previous research.Meanwhile,it puts forward the idea of detecting the change of Technology Application domain by tracing the change of the assignee number and the industry the assignee belongs to.Finally,it makes an empirical analysis on fuel cell and solar cell industry to verify the feasibility of the idea.

  • Smart Grid Technology: Application andControl
International Journal of Advanced Research in Electrical Electronics and Instrumentation Energy, 2014
    Co-Authors: Inż. Indrajeet Prasad
    Abstract:

Before we can begin to modernize today’s grid, we first need a clear vision of the power system required for the future. Understanding that vision, we can create the alignment necessary to inspire passion, investment, and progress toward the Smart Grid for the 21st century. The Smart Grid is a necessary enabler for a prosperous society in the future. Energy supply has become one of the most challenging issues facing the world in the 21st Century. Growing populations, more homes and businesses and a myriad of new appliances have caused energy demand to skyrocket in every part of the country. Utilities across the globe are trying to figure out how to bring their networks into the 21st century and the digital age. This effort to make the power grid more intelligent is generally referred to as creating a “smart grid”. The industry sees this transformation to a smart grid improving the methods of delivery as well as consumption. In This Paper ‘State of the Art’ of Smart Grid along with the vision, Application and control are introduced. This Paper also identifies the advantage, Growth and the problem for Smart Grid. The Paper also presents a case study of Implementation of Smart grid Technologies discussed on the basis of recent references and technical reports issued from government and research and academic authorities.

  • Evaluating the Suitability of a Smart Technology Application for Fall Detection Using a Fuzzy Collaborative Intelligence Approach
    Mathematics, 2019
Co-Authors: Yu-cheng Lin, Tin-chih Toly Chen, Yu Cheng Wang, Hai Fen Lin
    Abstract:

Fall detection is a critical task in an aging society. To fulfill this task, smart Technology Applications have great potential. However, it is not easy to choose a suitable smart Technology Application for fall detection. To address this issue, a fuzzy collaborative intelligence approach is proposed in this study. In the fuzzy collaborative intelligence approach, alpha-cut operations are applied to derive the fuzzy weights of criteria for each decision maker. Then, fuzzy intersection is applied to aggregate the fuzzy weights derived by all decision makers. Subsequently, the fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to the ideal solution is applied to assess the suitability of a smart Technology Application for fall detection. The fuzzy collaborative intelligence approach is a posterior-aggregation method that guarantees a consensus exists among decision makers. After applying the fuzzy collaborative intelligence approach to assess the suitabilities of four existing smart Technology Applications for fall detection, the most and least suitable smart Technology Applications were smart carpet and smart cane, respectively. In addition, the ranking result using the proposed methodology was somewhat different from those using three existing methods.

  • Evaluating the sustainability of a smart Technology Application to mobile health care: the FGM–ACO–FWA approach
    Complex & Intelligent Systems, 2019
    Co-Authors: Tin-chih Toly Chen
    Abstract:

Smart technologies present numerous opportunities for enhancing mobile health care. However, existing Applications of smart technologies to mobile health care face several difficulties. As a result, whether a smart Technology Application to mobile health care will be sustainable is questionable. To address this issue, the fuzzy geometric mean (FGM)– α -cut operations (ACO)–fuzzy weighted average (FWA) approach is proposed in this study. In the proposed methodology, at first FGM is applied to aggregate multiple experts’ opinions on the relative importance of a critical factor. Then, ACO is applied to derive the absolute fuzzy importance level of the critical factor. At last, FWA is applied to assess the sustainability of the smart Technology Application to mobile health care. The proposed methodology has been applied to assess the sustainability of thirteen smart Technology Applications to mobile health care. According to the experimental results, the most and least sustainable smart Technology Applications to mobile health care were smart mobile service and smart clothes, respectively. In addition, the ranking result using the proposed methodology was somewhat different from those using existing methods based on approximation.

  • A Meta-Analysis on the Information Technology Application in Patients’ Knowledge and Anxiety in Taiwan
Asian Journal of Applied Sciences, 2014
    Co-Authors: Yi-horng Lai
    Abstract:

The Application of information Technology in health education plan in Taiwan had gone for a long time. This study was performed to synthesize existing research comparing the effects of information Technology Application versus traditional instruction in health education plan on patients’ knowledge and anxiety in Taiwan. In spite of claims regarding the potential benefits of using information Technology in health education plan, research results comparing the effects of information Technology Application and traditional instruction in Taiwan were conflicting. Some studies all reported significant gains for information Technology Application over traditional instruction. However, some studies had found no significant differences between information Technology Application and traditional instruction. Meta-analysis was a statistical process whereby the findings of several studies, focusing on a common problem or topic, are pooled in an effort to draw inferences as to the meaning of a collective body of research. In an effort to lend data to this debate, this study provides the meta-analysis of information Technology Application verse traditional instruction in Taiwanese hospital. The results from this study suggest information Technology Application with health education is positive with patients’ knowledge, and information Technology Application with health education is negative with patients’ anxiety.

  • THE INFORMATION Technology Application ON PATIENTS' KNOWLEDGE IN TAIWAN: A META-ANALYSIS
    2014
    Co-Authors: Yi-horng Lai
    Abstract:

Information Technology Application in health education plan in Taiwan had gone for a long time. This study was performed to synthesize existing research comparing the effects of information Technology Application versus traditional instruction in health education plan on patients’ knowledge in hospital in Taiwan. Meta-analysis was a statistical process whereby the findings of several studies, focusing on a common problem or topic, are pooled in an effort to draw inferences as to the meaning of a collective body of research. Early meta-analysis studies were published prior to the microcomputer revolution, since 1970. In an effort to lend data to this debate, this study provides the meta-analysis verse traditional instruction in health education in patients’ knowledge. These studies considered for Application in meta-analysis got from Taiwan Theses and Dissertations database, and 17 theses (include 18 samples) were obtained through this search method. Based on the result, information Technology Application with health education is positive with patients’ knowledge. The results from this study suggest information Technology Application with health education is helpful for improve patients’ knowledge.
