Effect of Kinematic Tension Coefficient on Wall Thickness Variation for Tube/Pipe Rolled in a Reducing Mill
Metallurgist, 2018Co-Authors: D. A. Pavlov, A. A. Bogatov, E. A. PavlovaAbstract:We describe the results of a study of the longitudinal and circumferential variation in pipe/tube wall thickness as a function of kinematic Tension Coefficient for pipe/tube passing through three stands of a reduction mill. The study was performed via computer modeling using the DEFORM software. The variation in pipe/tube wall thickness and the mean wall thickness were found to decrease as the kinematic Tension Coefficient increased, as evidenced by the calculated dispersions, root mean square deviations, and Coefficients of variation.

The role of one-phase states for a two-phase elastic medium
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2010Co-Authors: V. G. OsmolovskiiAbstract:We consider a two-phase elastic medium and show that one-phase states are local minimum points for the energy functional if the surface Tension Coefficient is positive and one-phase states are and global minimum points or saddle points of the energy functional if the surface Tension Coefficient vanishes. Bibliography: 13 titles.
-
Determination of the Surface Tension Coefficient in Mechanics of Two-Phase Elastic Media
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2005Co-Authors: V. G. OsmolovskiiAbstract:We propose a method for determining the surface Tension Coefficient in the phase transition problems of continuum mechanics. The method is based on some characteristics (admitting an explicit description) of a minimizer of the deformation energy functional. Bibliography: 8 titles.

VARIATIONAL PROBLEM OF THE TWO-PHASE MEDIUM ELASTICITY THEORY FOR THE ZERO SURFACE Tension Coefficient
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 1997Co-Authors: V. G. OsmolovskiiAbstract:In this article, we give a proof of the existence theorem for an equilibrium state for the surface Tension Coefficient σ=0 and investigate the behavior of the equilibrium state for small σ. Bibliography: 4 titles.

Mechanical Properties of Steel Wire Rope Under Combination of Stretch and Bending State
DEStech Transactions on Engineering and Technology Research, 2017Co-Authors: Xiaoyang LiAbstract:This research through the tests of bending property of a certain steel wire rope in the conditions of no Tension state and Tension state, obtained a correlation between the bending performance and wire rope Tension, defined a gain Tension Coefficient (k) to the bending stiffness of wire rope, then open a way to research steel wire rope, and developed steel wire rope Tension measurement method by three points bending.
