    Abstract:

    Bitcoin is a virtual currency and has been accepted as a mode of payment by many countries now-a-days.the main threat for Bitcoin are its vulnerability in the mining process as well as lack of security during the storage of coins on the online pools. To provide security against the attack, the framework of Bitcoin protocol need to be changed and the same will be accepted by all the users because Bitcoin is a decentralized crypto currency. The current study tries to determine the impact of Bitcoin on Trade and Commerce in the study area. After the analysis of data it was found that the two regions (viz Central Kashmir and North Kashmir) of the study area do not differ significantly with respect to socio-economic variables, general awareness about the bitcoin and impact of bitcoin of Trade and Commerce.

  • Infrastructure for Entrepreneurship Development in India's Trouble-Torn State of Manipur

    Abstract:

    India’s north eastern-most State of Manipur, bordering Myanmar is facing onslaught of violence and conflict for long. Despite rich natural resources and geographical advantage of Indo-ASEAN Trade, the State is lagging behind the national level in terms of Trade and Commerce. In the present flat world, the strength of economy of a nation/region is primarily determined by the volume of Trade and Commerce. With the help of primary and secondary data, the present study explores the importance of entrepreneurship development in Manipur. What makes the entrepreneurial activities developed in Manipur is also displayed in this paper. With the help of logit model and using 113 sample of entrepreneurs, the study revealed that the physical infrastructure, especially road network and market opportunity (law and order condition of the State) have positive impact on entrepreneurship development in Manipur. Further, the study explored that the volume of Indian products is demanded less in the market of Manipur (Imphal) as the volume of local products and the goods coming from ASEAN countries increases.

    Abstract:

    The North-East India (NEI) consists of eight states and it is a ‘mixed bag’ of several ethnic groups. The region is known for its unexploited natural and human resources which are the basic factors of economic development. So, the energetic entrepreneurs are necessary if we want to harness it properly. With the emergence of Globalization and more recently with the inception of ‘Look East Policy’, Trade and Commerce has become an important tool in linking this region with the Asian and South East Asian countries. Look-East Policy is expected to provide an opportunity to overcome the problem of distance from big markets. It is apparent that NE India as a whole needs a big push or a kick starts to launch the economy on the development path through Trade and Commerce. But, it is greatly handicapped by law and order situation or bandh and blockade in the region. Economic development of a region is quite illusive agenda without developing Trade and Commerce in the region. Peaceful environment in the region is the pre-requisite condition for economic development. Keeping this in mind, the question that arises is who will be the active agents in bringing peace in the region?

These specialized regimes create legal and commercial challenges for Trade in transgenic crops that have significant implications for the food security of the nations of the world. By food security, one should understand not just the available supply of food, but also the quality of the food and the environmental impact of agricultural production systems. These specialized regimes for transgenic crops can either encourage or hinder the adoption of agricultural biotechnology as a sustainable intensive agriculture. Sustainable intensive agriculture offers hope for agronomic improvements for agricultural production, socio-economic betterment for farmers and environmental benefits for societies. Sustainable intensive agriculture offers particular hope for the poorest farmers of the world because agricultural biotechnology is a technology in the seed.
