A Survey on Model Watermarking Neural Networks
2020Co-Authors: Boenisch FranziskaAbstract:Machine learning (ML) models are applied in an increasing variety of domains. The availability of large amounts of data and computational resources encourages the development of ever more complex and valuable models. These models are considered intellectual property of the legitimate parties who have trained them, which makes their protection against stealing, illegitimate redistribution, and Unauthorized Application an urgent need. Digital watermarking presents a strong mechanism for marking model ownership and, thereby, offers protection against those threats. The emergence of numerous watermarking schemes and attacks against them is pushed forward by both academia and industry, which motivates a comprehensive survey on this field. This document at hand provides the first extensive literature review on ML model watermarking schemes and attacks against them. It offers a taxonomy of existing approaches and systemizes general knowledge around them. Furthermore, it assembles the security requirements to watermarking approaches and evaluates schemes published by the scientific community according to them in order to present systematic shortcomings and vulnerabilities. Thus, it can not only serve as valuable guidance in choosing the appropriate scheme for specific scenarios, but also act as an entry point into developing new mechanisms that overcome presented shortcomings, and thereby contribute in advancing the field

WantAbstract:The PARCTAB is a personal digital assistant (PDA) that communicates via infrared (IR) datapackets to a network of IR transceivers. The infrared network is designed for in-building use, where each room becomes a communication cell. In contrast to the approach used by other PDAs, most PARCTAB Applications run on remote hosts and therefore depend on reliable communication through the IR network. The infrastructure provides reliability as well as uninterrupted service when a PARCTAB moves from cell to cell. The PARCTAB and a supporting infrastructure has been operational since March 1993 at the Computer Science Lab at Xerox PARC. The system currently comprises thirty cells and twenty-five PARCTABs and will expand in the near future. There are three types of software components in the PARCTAB system: gateways, agents, and Applications. Gateways implement a datagram service for sending and receiving packets using IR signals. Each tab is represented by an agent. An agent tracks the location of its tab and provides location independent reliable remote procedure calls. The protocols enforce security, preventing, for example, an Unauthorized Application from taking control of a tab. >

The security model of medical database in LAN

The computer entering hospital's network illegally and the Unauthorized Application program seriously threaten the security of hospital's database and network. This article discusses a security model of medical database of LAN in practice from the aspects of authorized document library, daemon program and monitoring, reporting and the orientation of the illegal computer. With source creativity, the model is significant to the security of medical network or other network. It is suggested that a real-time medical database monitoring system be set up to monitor network.

Payment Security Mechanism of Intelligent Mobile Terminal

With the powerful function of intelligent mobile terminals, people pay more and more attention to mobile payment business because of its convenient and fast service, and the following security problems are worrisome. Compared with the bank card payment, the smart mobile terminal can complete a variety of transactions directly by downloading the corresponding payment procedures, including shopping payments. However, because of the open resources of the Android system, system ROOT permissions easily cracked, there is a big potential security risk in mobile payment. In addition, the Android system lacks strict Application software signature verification measures, and Unauthorized Application software can be installed properly, and there may be malicious software containing virus. Therefore, the design of a highly secure and customized Android intelligent payment terminal has become a common concern in the field of payment and academia.

Systems architecture for the acquisition and preservation of wireless network traffic

It has escalated in popularity mainly due to the ability to form computer networks without a wired based infrastructure. However, accompanying the widespread usage also comes the inherent prospect of criminal misuse, including Unauthorized Application and the launch of system attacks. This paper presents the testing of an innovative Wireless Forensic Model (WFM) system that provides capability for acquisition and preservation of wireless network traffic (802.11) frames by implementing a wireless drone architecture. It is thus a forensic readiness system providing available evidence for forensic investigation. The results show that the tested system has the ability to collect upwards of 90% of all frames, as well as evidence and detection of attacks conducted against the wireless network.
