a comparative study on two methods of induced abortion for women with Uterus Malformation an analyses 72 cases
Shanghai Medical Journal, 2001Co-Authors: Cheng LinaAbstract:Objective To explore the suitable method of the induced abortion for women with Uterus Malformation. Method Seventy two pregnant women with Uterus Malformation requesting induced abortion were divided into two groups. One group had an abortion induced by vacuum aspiration under B type ultrasonic monitor and another group induced by Mifepristone in combination with Misoprostol. Results There were 37/39(94.87%) women of 45~70 day's gestation who had successful abortion induced by vacuum aspiration under B type ultrasonic monitor. Only had 9/13(69.23%) women of 45~70 day's gestation and 12/20(60.00%) women of 71~153 day's gestation an abortion successfully induced by Mifepristone in combination with Misoprostol. Conclusion Vacuum aspiration under B type ultrasonic monitor is better than medical abortion for women with ≤70 day's gestation and Uterus Malformation.

hidden congenital Uterus Malformation and pregnancy
Timočki medicinski glasnik, 2011Co-Authors: Marko Maksimovic, Mirjana BogavacAbstract:This paper presents a successfully completed pregnancy in the 36 GW, which ended by Caesarean section. The existence of congenital anomaly Uterus duplex as a result of an incomplete merge of Muller's channel was revealed intraoperatively. This anomaly is not a rare phenomenon. Most often it is revealed during the treatment of sterility or in patients who had spontaneous abortions. Diagnosis is set by ultrasound, and sometimes, as in this case, during the Cesarean section. Childbirth is usually a pre-term one, with possible difficulties such as a delay in growth and/or reduced amniotic fluid volume which indicates an urgent completion of pregnancy, which is described here. However, with adequate approach, diagnosis and treatment these pregnancies can be ended successfully by giving a vital childbirth, as was the case here. For these reasons there is a need for proper diagnosis in such situations (US, MRI, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy) for a therapist to take control and management of these high-risk pregnancies, in order to maintain the pregnancy closer to term delivery.
