    Abstract:

    Summary: Carotid basilar anastomoses can occasionally persist beyond the embryonic period. These anomalies are most often incidentally detected in adulthood, during workups for unrelated pathologies. Persistence of the proatlantal intersegmental arteries is a rare form of primitive carotid-basilar anastomoses. Bilateral proatlantal inter- segmental arteries are an extremely rare occurrence, of which only 3 cases have been reported in the literature. An analysis of vascular anomalies associated with Galen’s Vein Malformations revealed 3 children in whom persistence of type II proatlantal arteries was seen. These included one child in whom proatlantal arteries were persistent bilaterally. We report the clinical and angiographic findings and discuss the embryologic and therapeutic implications of this unique association.

    Abstract:

    Objective To explore the treatment of the ocular arteriovenous Malformation using urea injection combined with surgical procedures and evaluate clinical effects. Methods 42 cases withocular arteriovenous Malformation combined with fistula were retrospectively analyzed between January 2011 and December 2016. Individual treatments were formulated according to leision areas and severity. 3 cases with diffuse Malformations were excluded from the study, because no surgical procedures were performed. 39 cases underwent local injection with 40% urea before resection. The urea was injected locally into Vein Malformation area by means ofmulti-point injection on a basis of 30 seconds, 3-6 ml for each treatment, once a day.The injection was performed for successive 7-10 days.The therapeutic effects and cosmetic result were recorded. Results 23 cases occurred intheright ocular area and 16 cases in left.21 cases were removed radically in single operation.No recurrenceoccurredin any case with follow-ups of 3 months to 1.5 years.Cosmetic result with ocularbilateral symmetrywere satisfactory. Conclusions Combined treatment with urea injection and surgical procedure could effectively treat ocular arteriovenous Malformation with arteriovenousfistula.     Abstract:

    Objective To discuss the treatment of the scrotal Vein Malformation in teenagers and clinical efficacy.Methods 32 cases with the local and diffuse scrotal Vein Malformation were retrospectively analyzed.31 cases underwent local injection with 40％ urea before resection.The urea was injected locally into tumor through multi-points within 30 seconds,2-6 ml every time,one time a day.The injection was performed for 5-12 days.The treatment was refused in one case.The therapeutic effect and cosmetic result were recorded.Results The tumors were removed radicaly in 28 cases including one operation in 25 cases and secondary operation in 3 cases.The patients were followed up for 1-3 years with no recurrence.Cosmetic result with bilaterally symmetric scrotum was satisfactory.The tumors in 3 severe cases were partially resected with improvement.Conclusions Combined treatment with urea injection and surgical procedure can effectively treat the scrotal Vein Malformation with satisfactory result.     Abstract:

    Objective:To evaluate the effect of the treatment vascular Malformation with endovascular embolization through percutaneous guided by digital subtraction angiography(DSA).Methods:Twenty cases with vascular Malformation on surface were confirmed according to clinical and imaging features(including artery Malformation 7 cases,Vein Malformation 9 cases,arteriovenous Malformation 4 cases).Eleven cases of artery and arteriovenous Malformation were treated with bleomycin and polyvingl alcohd,the other 9 cases were injected with bleomycin and ethanol guided by DSA,each course interval was 3 weeks.Results:The anomalies in 12 cases were cured,favorable improvement in 8 cases.No cases appeared tissue necrosis and skin burst.Conclusions:The treatment mothod for vascular Malformation is easy,safe and effective,and can reduce or avoid complications,worth populararizing in clinical practice.
