    Abstract:

    Agricultural Products are crucial for the general public's consumption. People are paying more and more attention to the quality of Agricultural Products as their living standards rise. Traceability is a key tool for ensuring the quality and safety of Agricultural Products and resolving the market-consumer confidence dilemma. The traditional traceability system has disadvantages such as opaque information, easy data tampering, poor security, and relatively closed. With its unique advantages, blockchain technology provides new solutions for reliable traceability in the Agricultural Product supply chain. This paper presents a strategy based on blockchain and semantic segmentation in order to provide ideas and approaches for addressing the issues of poor credibility and difficult data storage that traditional traceability systems confront.

    Abstract:

    Agricultural promotion groups (APGs) promote the economic welfare of Agricultural producers by financing generic advertising and promotion activities intended to expand demand for their commodities in hopes that the benefits will more than cover the cost. A review of the most recent evaluations of 27 major U.S. APG generic advertising and promotion programs conducted by many different researchers using widely different techniques concludes that that those programs have effectively enhanced the profits of their respective stakeholders and generated high rates of returns to the dollars invested in those programs. Importantly, this study finds that the success of those programs in supporting and growing their respective sectors of agriculture has spilled over to the general economy. The programs have created an important multiplier effect through the economy. In the process, jobs have been created; income has been generated; and economic growth has occurred.

    Neglected Agricultural Products (NAPs) are defined as discarded material in Agricultural Production. Corn cobs are a major waste of agriculture maize. Here, a methanolic extract from corn cobs (MEC) was obtained. MEC contains phenolic compounds, protein, carbohydrates (1.4:0.001:0.001). We evaluated the in vitro and in vivo antioxidant potential of MEC. Furthermore, its antiproliferative property against tumor cells was assessed through MTT assays and proteins related to apoptosis in tumor cells were examined by western blot. MEC showed no hydroxyl radical scavenger capacity, but it showed antioxidant activity in Total Antioxidant Capacity and DPPH scavenger ability assays. MEC showed higher Reducing Power than ascorbic acid and exhibited high Superoxide Scavenging activity. In tumor cell culture, MEC increased catalase, metallothionein and superoxide dismutase expression in accordance with the antioxidant tests. In vivo antioxidant test, MEC restored SOD and CAT, decreased malondialdehyde activities and showed high Trolox Equivalent Antioxidant Capacity in animals treated with CCl4. Furthermore, MEC decreased HeLa cells viability by apoptosis due an increase of Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, caspase 3 active. Protein kinase C expression increased was also detected in treated tumor cells. Thus, our findings pointed out the biotechnological potential of corn cobs as a source of molecules with pharmacological activity.

    Abstract The safety of Agricultural Products has always been a matter of great concern to people. To address this concern, many blockchain-based Agricultural Product traceability systems (BAPTSs) have been constructed. The implementation of such systems necessitates the selection of an appropriate design scheme. However, due to the diversity of Agricultural Products and the uncertainty of the environment, selecting an adequate design scheme for BAPTS is a difficult task for decision-makers. Because the q-rung orthopair fuzzy (q-ROF) set can dynamically delineate the space of uncertain information, this paper proposes a decision algorithm for selecting a design scheme for BAPTS using the q-ROF set. Herein, we first combine the Muirhead mean operator and power operator to develop the q-ROF power Muirhead Mean (q-ROFPMM) operator and the q-ROF weighted power Muirhead Mean (q-ROFWPMM) operator. Then, we investigate several properties of the proposed operators. Further, we construct a novel multi-criteria decision-making framework for evaluating and selecting the design scheme for BAPTS based on the q-ROFWPMM operator. Next, a case study on BAPTS selection is presented to validate our method. Finally, the results of sensitivity and comparative analyses are provided to verify the efficiency and accuracy of our method. The results show that our method can effectively address the issues of BAPTS evaluation and selection, capture the relationships between any number of criteria, and eliminate the negative effects of abnormal expert evaluation values on decision-making results.

    The authors believe that, quality traceability is the ability to identify how the Agricultural Product is changing, where it comes from, where it will be sent to and if the information of its quality and safety can be traced. To establish the fast traceability system for the quality of China's Agricultural Product, we should link the information of individual enterprise with each other, give an abstract of the unit flow process of Agricultural Product and realize the fast traceability of Agricultural Product quality with the help of unified code and the collection and integration of data. The fast traceability system of Agricultural Product quality includes such three subsystems as the internal traceability system, the external traceability system and the platform information system.

    In a sense, the Agricultural Product quality traceability system is regarded as one of the most important aspects in the construction of Agricultural Product quality supervision. By defining and delineating the relevant concepts, this paper aims to encourage some new approaches to accomplishing the connection of isolated enterprise information islands and the abstraction of Agricultural Product unit flow process at a higher level, and through exclusive coding, data collecting and data converging to establish a mode of Agricultural Product quality fast traceability system in China. At the same time, the requirement analysis on a fast traceability system leads to the study on the system structural design of the mode.
