  • Experimental study of vapor Carburetor using bubbling and splash method on fuel consumption on motorcycle
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SCIENCE AND APPLIED SCIENCE (ICSAS) 2019, 2019
Co-Authors: Rinaldi Restuaji, Husin Bugis, Basori
    Abstract:

Liquid fuel type gasoline is a volatile fuel. The volatile of the fuel will make it easier for the fuel to mix with air and increase mixed homogeneity. Vapor Carburetor technology converts liquid fuel into steam for combustion. This study aims to determine the effect of the evaporation technique using the bubbling method and the splash method on fuel consumption. The bubbling method creates fuel vapor by making bubbles on the liquid fuel while the splash method creates turbulence in the liquid fuel to produce fuel vapor. This study uses an experimental method with a research object of a 4stroke gasoline engine with a capacity of 100cc. The fuel used is RON 90 type with the calculation of ml/minute fuel consumption, and data analysis using quantitative descriptive. The results of this study will compare the vapor Carburetor with several evaporation methods using bubbling, splash, and combined. The results showed that the level of vapor Carburetor fuel consumption was lower than conventional Carburetors with the following percentages: 28.8% bubbling method, 39.1% splash method, and 28% combined method. This study shows a reduction in fuel consumption and can be implemented in the future to reduce fuel consumption.Liquid fuel type gasoline is a volatile fuel. Abstract:

The increase in the number of motorized vehicles in Indonesia increases the amount of consumption of fossil fuels so that the fuel supply is running low. Technology that is developing at this time has not been able to produce an optimal role in saving fuel consumption. The need for new technology to keep the consumption of fossil fuels. This study aims to determine the effect of vapor Carburetor using the bubbling method to reduce the level of fuel consumption. The Vapor Carburetor evaporates fuel by making air bubble trough fuel. This study uses an experimental approach with a research object of a 100cc single-cylinder gasoline engine. The fuel used is RON 90, RON 92, RON 98 through the calculation of fuel consumption of ml / minute. Data analysis using descriptive quantitative. The result of the study shows that increases in fuel-saving value of 28.26% RON 90, 29.68% RON 92, 24.6% RON 98. • Research on Characteristics of LNG Engine Fuel Supply System
Chinese Internal Combustion Engine Engineering, 2012
    Co-Authors: Li Jun
    Abstract:

For model CA6SL2 engine,a simulation model of fuel supply system of liquefied natural gas(LNG) engine was built up based on AMESim software and used for analyzing characteristics of the fuel supply system at the rated power point and under low temperature starting condition. The results confirm that in the conditions of rated power and inlet coolant temperature of 97 ℃,the proper flow rate in LNG Carburetor is in range of 15~25 L/min;the coolant temperature at outlet in engine cylinder head should be maintained below 100 ℃ by matching the cooling system to the Carburetor, during LNG engine low temperature starting(ambient temperature-35 ℃) the coolant flow rate should be more than 6 L/min in idling operation. It is proved that the engine cooling system has good moderate cooling function.
