Efeito da aplicação de uniconazole em mudas de mamão formosa (Carica Papaya L.)
2012Co-Authors: Pôrto, Antonio GilbertoAbstract:O presente trabalho teve por objetivo estudar o efeito da aplicação de uniconazole em mudas de mamoeiro do grupo Formosa (Carica Papaya L.) para produção de porta-enxerto com boas características agronômicas, por meio de concentrações diferenciadas, de 2,5, 5, 7,5 e 10 mg i.a./L. O experimento foi desenvolvido na Estação Experimental de Biologia da Universidade de Brasília, no período de 28 de setembro a 07 de dezembro de 2011, tendo como resultados menores alturas e diâmetros de caule das plantas submetidas ao tratamento, em relação às testemunhas (controle), variando conforme as doses recebidas. O número de folhas foi alterado com significância, nas doses de 2,5 mg i.a./L (maiores médias) e de 10 mg i.a./L (menores médias). As plantas tratadas com uniconazole sofreram menor perda percentual de massa no processo de secagem do que as testemunhas. Outros estudos com aplicação de uniconazole são importantes para verificar os seus efeitos nos diversos estágios de desenvolvimento das plantas. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe present work aimed to study the effect of uniconazole on seedling Formosa group Papaya (Carica Papaya L.) for production of rootstock with good agronomic characteristics through different concentrations of 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 mg ai / L. The experiment was conducted at the Experimental Station of Biology, University of Brasilia, from 28 September to 07 December 2011, resulting in lower heights and stem diameters of plants subjected to treatment, compared to the control, varying according to the dose received. The number of sheets have been changed with significance at doses of 2.5 mg ai / L (highest average) and 10 mg ai / L (lower average). Plants treated with uniconazole suffered smaller percentage loss of mass in the drying process of the witnesses. Other studies with application of uniconazole are important to determine its effects on various stages of plant development

Em 2012 foram produzidos mais de 1,5 milhão de toneladas, gerando uma receita de R$ 1,1 bilhão. O trabalho teve como principal objetivo avaliar os efeitos da aplicação do Uniconazole, em diferentes concentrações, na obtenção de porta-enxerto destinados a produção de mudas de mamoeiro (Carica Papaya L.) cultivar Tainung. O experimento foi conduzido de Agosto a Novembro de 2014, na Estação Experimental de Biologia – EEB, da Universidade de Brasília-UnB. As diferentesdoses de Uniconazole foram aplicadas no 56° dia após a semeadura divididas em 5 tratamentos, nas concentrações 0,0, 0,3, 0,5, 0,7 e 1,0 mg de i.a/L. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o inteiramente casualizados, com 3 repetições com 30 plantas, totalizando 450 plantas em todo o experimento. After 24 h the last treatment, the animals were anesthetized for blood withdrawal, sacrificed and removal of the organs for analyses (liver, kidney and heart). In the biochemical tests were determined: hematological parameters in blood, aminotransferases, alkaline phosphatase, glucose and total cholesterol dosages in plasma, enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants and lipid damage marker were evaluated in different tissues, besides genotoxic and histopathological analyzes.RESULTS: In the extract of Carica Papaya leaves, the flavonoids quercetin-3β-D-glucoside and rutin were identified, besides present positive results for alkaloids, saponins and tannins. This extract increased the activity of glutathione-S-transferase and catalase enzymes in the liver and reduced the levels of reduced glutathione in the kidneys and hematocrit levels, red cell count, and hemoglobin. It promoted the decrease of the reactive species of thiobarbituric acid (TBARS) in the kidneys and the activity of enzyme aspartate aminotransferase in the plasma and was antimutagenic in the micronucleus test.CONCLUSIONS: The study showed that extract of Carica Papaya was beneficial against oxidative events and prevented DNA damage. The extract also showed hepatotoxicity, therefore prolonged infusion of Papaya leaves is not advisable.

Carica Papaya lipase cpl an emerging and versatile biocatalyst

This hydrolase, being tightly bonded to the water-insoluble fraction of crude papain, is thus considered as a "naturally immobilized" biocatalyst. To date, several CPL applications have already been described: (i) fats and oils modification, derived from the sn-3 selectivity of CPL as well as from its preference for short-chain fatty acids; (ii) esterification and inter-esterification reactions in organic media, accepting a wide range of acids and alcohols as substrates; (iii) more recently, the asymmetric resolution of different non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), 2-(chlorophenoxy)propionic acids, and non-natural amino acids. Taking into account the novelty and the current interest of the topic, this review aims to highlight the origin, features, and applications of the C. Papaya lipase, with the objective to prompt research groups to further investigate the spectra of applications that this emerging and versatile CPL could have in the future.
