equilibrium phase behavior of aqueous two phase systems containing ethylene oxide propylene oxide of different molecular weight 2500 12000 and sodium Citrate Salt at various temperatures and ph
Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2014Co-Authors: Raziyeh Ghahremani, Farshad RahimpourAbstract:The liquid–liquid equilibrium (LLE) experimental data, including the binodal curve and the tie line of the aqueous two phase systems (ATPS) for two different molecular weights of ethylene oxide–propylene oxide copolymer (2500, 12000) and sodium Citrate Salt, are presented in two categories: first at different pH values 5, 7, and 8.2 at a constant temperature 25 °C and second at a constant pH of 8.2 with different temperatures of 25 °C, 30 °C, and 40 °C. It is found out that increases in the molecular weight of the polymer, pH, and temperature cause an increase of the two-phase region. Moreover, the experimental binodal data of the considered systems are successfully fitted to the Merchuk equation with significant R2 and low standard deviation.

probing intermolecular interactions in a diethylcarbamazine Citrate Salt by fast mas 1 h solid state nmr spectroscopy and gipaw calculations
Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, 2017Co-Authors: Nubia Boechat, Javier Ellena, Tiago Venâncio, Lyege Magalhaes Oliveira, Steven P BrownAbstract:Fast magic-angle spinning (MAS) NMR is used to probe intermolecular interactions in a diethylcarbamazine Salt, that is widely used as a treatment against adult worms of Wuchereria bancrofti which cause a common disease in tropical countries named filariasis. Specifically, a dihydrogen Citrate Salt that has improved thermal stability and solubility as compared to the free form is studied. One-dimensional 1H, 13C and 15N and two-dimensional 1H-13C and 14N-1H heteronuclear correlation NMR experiments under moderate and fast MAS together with GIPAW (CASTEP) calculations enable the assignment of the 1H, 13C and 14N/15N resonances. A two-dimensional 1H-1H double-quantum (DQ) -single-quantum (SQ) MAS spectrum recorded with BaBa recoupling at 60kHz MAS identifies specific proton-proton proximities associated with Citrate-Citrate and Citrate-diethylcarbamazine intermolecular interactions.

Improved single-step extraction performance of aqueous biphasic systems using novel symmetric ionic liquids for the decolorisation of toxic dye effluents
Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, 2019Co-Authors: Aleksandra Dimitrijević, Ana Jocić, Nebojša Zec, Aleksandar Tot, Snežana Papović, Slobodan Gadžurić, Milan Vraneš, Tatjana M. Trtić-petrovićAbstract:Abstract The novel aqueous biphasic systems based on symmetric imidazolium ionic liquids (IL-ABSs) for the extraction of toxic and resistive dyes from water was studied. The cation symmetricity of ILs strongly influence the outstanding ability of 1,3-dibutylimidazolium dicyanamide, [bbim][dca], to generate ABS with the exceptionally low amount of eco-friendly Citrate Salt. A remarkable potential of [bbim][dca]/Citrate based ABS to remove Orange II from wastewater with concentration up to 1000 fold and efficiency above 99.4% in a single step was achieved. The improved safety of proposed method nominates it as promising future strategy for pollution prevention.
