    Abstract:

    With the development of mobile Internet technology and the popularity of intelligent mobile terminals, the data traffic load of mobile client users on the smart campus network platform has surged. How to reduce the data traffic of the smart campus network platform is an urgent problem to be solved. First, this paper discussed the key technologies of smart campus network Teaching platform under the background of the 5G network, expounded the critical technologies of the transport layer of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and analyzed from the development perspective of the IoT platform. Second, by investigating the online Classroom data of five types of colleges and universities in China and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of online Classroom Teaching and traditional Classroom Teaching, it is found that the number of online courses in colleges and universities has exploded in the second half of 2017. Next, this paper analyzed the demand of smart campus online Teaching platform under the background of the 5G network, thus established an online Teaching platform based on the four initiatives operation model (government-led, college sponsor, teacher subject, and academic director). Finally, this paper adopted the improved VIRE localization algorithm to obtain the specific location information of the student users in the Classroom and, then, compared with the error obtained by the VIRE algorithm, and the error of the improved VIRE algorithm is smaller. In the process of obtaining information, the 5G network technology is used for data transmission, which can shorten the check-in time and can improve the positioning accuracy.

    Abstract:

    Abstract The core educational purposes of scientific models are to help student learning as well as develop the students' problem solving skills. This study uses three-stage method of literature review, expert Delphi method, open-ended questionnaires, and focus interviews to investigate the flipping Classroom method based upon modern Teaching technologies and investigate the effects of the Teaching method upon the students’ learning of physics models and modeling skills. This study employed a quasi-experimental approach by comparing pre- and post-class results of students who underwent three different learning methods, namely: (1) model-based flipped Classroom supported by modern Teaching technology (MFC), (2) flipped Classroom (FC), and (3) model-based Classroom. Students who underwent the MFC method achieved significant improvements in the 5 phases of the physics modeling process and gave higher scores in the 4 dimensions of Classroom Teaching quality evaluation, namely (1) communication and cooperation, (2) application and learning, (3) curriculum learning, and (4) participation. The model-based flipping Classroom supported by modern Teaching technologies (MFC) used in this study effectively guided students through the 3 steps of new knowledge construction during the learning process, provided an empirical reference for applying modern Teaching technologies and flipping Classroom Teaching methods in actual settings, and inspired new mindsets for applying and developing Teaching theories.

    Abstract:

    Abstract The quality reform of higher education in Norway has generally recommended a substitution of Classroom Teaching with more active forms of learning in higher education. This study reveals that ignoring the student’s personality type may be in conflict with the purpose of the reform. The student’s personality type affects both the most effective mode of learning and even the student’s selection of major areas of study. The most dominant personality type among business students is the sensing and judging (SJ) student. Because SJ students select a majority of majors where facts, procedures and sequential learning are the usual mode of learning, implementation of the recommended substitution of Classroom Teaching with more active forms of learning may lead to lower academic achievement and a need for more resources.     The flipped Classroom, a Teaching method that delivers lecture content to students at home through electronic means and uses class time for practical application activities, may be useful for information literacy instruction. This article describes many of the characteristics of the flipped Classroom Teaching model, illustrated with examples from current higher education and library instruction literature. Pedagogical benefits of the model are highlighted along with potential challenges to its use.
