Caracterización térmica y uso de microhábitats por parte del lagarto Cnemidophorus Lemniscatus (Squamata: teiidae) en un cultivo de mango en el municipio de Carmen de Apicalá, Tolima

Debido a su tamaño, los reptiles se ven influenciados en mayor medida por cambios en el microambiente, por lo cual este trabajo se centró en conocer qué variables influencian la temperatura corporal de un lagarto terrestre (Cnemidophorus lemniscatus) en un cultivo de mango (Mangifera sp.) y qué microhábitats son importantes para la especie. Se realizó observación de abundancias de individuos por horas, y muestreo por encuentro visual (VES) en un área de cultivo de 5,5 ha en el rango horario de 08:00 a 16:00 h. Se encontró que la mayor abundancia de individuos fue en el rango horario de las 12:00 a las 14:00 h. Aunque no hubo ninguna diferencia en la temperatura del sustrato entre microhábitats, las rocas fueron las que mayor rango de temperatura del sustrato y abundancia de la especie (35 %) presentaron. La temperatura corporal de la especie osciló en un rango de 29 a 45 °C, y se determinó por un modelo de regresión lineal múltiple que el 44% de su comportamiento es explicado por la suma de las variables de temperatura del sustrato, temperatura de la cobertura, iluminancia y velocidad del viento. Se confirma la categorización de Cnemidophorus lemniscatus como generalista térmica con el uso de estrategias de obtención de calor helio y tigmotérmica.Environmental temperature is affected by transformation of vegetation cover types, and this trigger changes in the fitness of organisms who depend on it like ectotherms. A new species of ameivula (Squamata, Teiidae) from Southern Espinhaço Mountain Range, Brazil
'American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists (ASIH)', 2014Co-Authors: Arias, Federico José, Celso Morato De ,carvalho, Zaher H., Rodrigues, Miguel TrefautAbstract:In a recent phylogenetic analysis of Teiidae based on morphological characters, three new genera were erected to remove polyphyletism in the genus Cnemidophorus. Accordingly, Ameivula was proposed to accommodate the species formerly included in the Cnemidophorus ocellifer group, characterized by the presence of granules in the supraocular semicircles, femoral pores fewer than 40, and preanal spurs absent. Here we describe a new species of Ameivula from the mountain region of Parque Nacional Serra do Cipó, Minas Gerais, that is apparently endemic to high elevations between 900 and about 1200 m. The new species can be easily distinguished from its congeners by the presence of three supraocular scales, a contact between frontoparietal scale and the third supraoculars (circumorbital with an incomplete series of granules), a third pair of chinshields larger than the others and low number of fourth finger lamellae.© 2014 by the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists
