hypereutectoid steel Coatings obtained by thermal flame spraying effect of annealing on microstructure tribological properties and adhesion energy
Surface & Coatings Technology, 2015Co-Authors: Abdelatif Belamri, Abdelaziz Ati, Muriel Braccini, Said AzemAbstract:Abstract Metallic Coatings were processed on a 35CrMo4 substrate using a thermal flame spray technique. The deposited metal was a high carbon steel, low alloyed with Cr, Mn and Si. In those Coatings FeO and Fe 3 O 4 oxides were found, as well as stable α-ferrite phase and some γ-austenite phase. γ-Austenite phase is metastable and transforms into stable α-ferrite during annealing treatment at 300 °C. This γ to α-phase transformation, as well as the evolution of the oxides during the annealing post-treatment, has some influence on the mechanical properties of the Coating: Hardness, tribological properties, Young's modulus and adhesion on the 35CrMo4 substrate.

Hypereutectoid steel Coatings obtained by thermal flame spraying — Effect of annealing on microstructure, tribological properties and adhesion energy
Surface and Coatings Technology, 2015Co-Authors: Abdelatif Belamri, Abdelaziz Ati, Muriel Braccini, Said AzemAbstract:Metallic Coatings were processed on a 35CrMo4 substrate using a thermal flame spray technique. The deposited metal was a high carbon steel, low alloyed with Cr, Mn and Si. In those Coatings FeO and Fe3O4 oxides were found, as well as stable a-ferrite phase and some gamma-austenite phase. gamma-Austenite phase is metastable and transforms into stable re-ferrite during annealing treatment at 300 degrees C. This gamma to a-phase transformation, as well as the evolution of the oxides during the annealing post-treatment, has some influence on the mechanical properties of the Coating: Hardness, tribological properties, Young's modulus and adhesion on the 35CrMo4 substrate.

Preparation and Behavior Study of Zn-Al-Cu Pseudo Alloy Coating
Transactions of Metal Heat Treatment, 2003Co-Authors: Luo ChengAbstract:The preparation and behavior of Zn Al Cu pseudo alloy Coating in die mould manufacturing by electro arc spraying are studied, and its structure, constituent, and the influence of SL building material on Coating Hardness are analyzed. The results indicate that Coating Hardness can be increased when the contents of Al, Cu and Mg in Coating are higher than their preliminary composition in the Al Cu Mg alloy. The Coating Hardness is determined by its structure and especially the stress condition. The less the absolute value of residual stress in intermittent spraying is, the less the work hardening and hence the Hardness is.

Effect of Aging Treatment on Coating Hardness of Zn-Al-Cu Pseudo-Alloy
Heat Treatment of Metals, 2003Co-Authors: Luo ChengAbstract:The sample of Zn Al Cu pseudo alloy Coating are prepared by continuous and intermittent spraying respectively and treated with aging treatment. The strengthening mechanism of Zn Al Cu pseudo alloy Coating and relationship among Hardness, aging temperature and time are studied by SEM,XRD,EDX and Hardness test. The results show that aging treatment can increase its Hardness of Coating by aging strengthening, and hence decrease its Hardness by reducing deformation strengthening.Consequently, aging treatment increases Hardness of the intermittent spraying Coating while decreases Hardness of the continuous spraying Coating.
