  • Renovation of One-cycle Rotating Filter for Circulating Water in Zhujiang Power Plant
    Power Station Auxiliary Equipment, 2005
    Co-Authors: Chen Dong-zhi, Bp Guangzhou
    Abstract:

The open-cycle circulating water system is adopted in Zhujiang Power Plant. Lower Condenser Vacuum and poor cooler efficiency have been obtained because of large amount of weeds and rubbish in the circulating water and some design defects in the system. Based on the renovation of one-cycle rotating filter system with XWC-Ⅱ in 1 号 unit, the quality and quantity of circulating water have effectively been guaranteed. The successful renovation is proved by the practical operation in one year.

  • Alteration of Primary Rotating Filter in Circulating Water in Zhujiang Power Plant
    China Electric Power, 2005
    Co-Authors: Bp Guangzhou
    Abstract:

An opening system in the circulating water system in zhujiang power plant is adopted. There are large amount of weeds and rubbish in it because of the deteriorating environment, and the existed design defection in the circulating water primary rotating filter in Zhujiang Power Plant led to lower Condenser Vacuum and bad coolers efficiency,so it is a intimidator to safety and economy operation of generate electricity units.Alteration of the primary rotating filter in unit 1 with XWC-Ⅱ,it guarantee the quality and quantity of circulating water efficiently. It was proved that the Alteration of the primary rotating filter in unit 1 is successful through a year operation.

  • preparation and characterization of carbons for the retention of halogens in the Condenser Vacuum system of a thermonuclear plant
    Applied Surface Science, 2006
    Co-Authors: S Roman, J F Gonzalez, J Ganan, E Sabio, C M Gonzalezgarcia, A Ramiro, V Mangut
    Abstract:

Activated carbons were prepared by air and carbon dioxide activation, from almond tree pruning, with the aim of obtaining carbons that reproduce the textural and mechanical properties of the carbons currently used in the filtering system of the Condenser Vacuum installation of a Thermonuclear Plant (CNA; Central Nuclear de Almaraz in Caceres, Spain), produced from coconut shell. The variables studied in non-catalytic gasification series with air were the temperature (215–270 °C) and the time (1–16 h) and the influence of the addition of one catalyst (Co) and the time (1–2 h) in catalytic gasification. In the case of activation with CO2, the influence of the temperature (700–950 °C) and the time (1–8 h) was studied. The resulting carbons were characterized in terms of their BET surface, porosity, and pore size distribution. The N2 adsorption isotherms at 77 K for both series showed a type I behaviour, typical of microporous materials. The isotherms showed that with both gasificant agents the temperature rise produced an increase in the carbon porosity. With regards to the activation time, a positive effect on the N2 adsorbed volume on the carbons was observed. The best carbons of each series, as well as the CNA (carbon currently used in the CNA), were characterized by mercury porosimetry and iodine solution adsorption isotherms. The results obtained allowed to state that several of the carbons produced had characteristics similar to the carbon that is target of reproduction (which has SBET of 741 m2 g−1, Vmi of 0.39 cm3 g−1 and a iodine retention capacity of 429.3 mg g−1): carbon C (gasification with CO2 at 850 °C during 1 h), with SBET of 523 m2 g−1, Vmi of 0.33 cm3 g−1 and a iodine retention capacity of 402.5 mg g−1, and carbon D (gasification with CO2 at 900 °C during 1 h), whose SBET is 672 m2 g−1, Vmi is 0.28 cm3 g−1 and has a iodine retention capacity of 345.2 mg g−1.

  • Study on soft-sensing model for Condenser Vacuum based-on Support Vector Regression
2010 2nd International Conference on Advanced Computer Control, 2010
    Co-Authors: Lei Wang, Rui-qing Zhang
    Abstract:

In this paper, depending on the interrelation of Condenser's operational parameters, the factors which affect the Vacuum of Condenser are analyzed. And a soft-sensing model for Condenser Vacuum is given by using Support Vector Regression (SVR), then the model is verified and parameters are discussed based on the data of the 300MW steam turbine unit, and the prognostication precision is compared with a RBF model. The results indicate that model based-on SVR has forcible generalization ability and stability and can be adapted to application. The Condenser Vacuum can be calculated by using the soft-sensing model when the Vacuum measuring point is fault, so the model based-on SVR provides a redundancy method for the measurement and diagnosis of Condenser Vacuum.

    Thermal Turbine, 2008
    Co-Authors: Li Yong
    Abstract:

The effect on Condenser Vacuum is analyzed according to the Condenser\' actual operation, the calculation model of redundancy measure is established based on support vector regression, and then the model has been verified by applying the data of a 300MW unit, which is compared with a calculation model based on RBF.The results indicate that calculation model based-on SVR has forcible generalization ability and stability and is adaptable to on-line\' applications. At the same time,Condenser Vacuum has been calculated by using the calculation model when Vacuum measuring point is fault, and the calculation model based on SVR provides a method for measurement and diagnosis of Condenser Vacuum.
