Organizations are strongly dependent on these systems since they control Critical Business Process flows. Assurance for these systems is needed to guarantee proper functionality, being in line with compliance requirements and to prevent fraudulent activities. We present a software prototype called the ERP AuditLab for auditing so called application controls in ERP systems. A case study is presented to give an impression about important application controls. We use the case study to derive the requirements for the ERP AuditLab.

Computer security is to keep security attributes (confidentiality, integrity and availability) of computer systems, which face the threats such as deny-of-service (DoS), virus and intrusion. To ensure high computer security, the intrusion tolerance technique based on fault-tolerant scheme has been widely applied. This paper presents the quantitative performance evaluation of a virtual machine (VM) based intrusion tolerant system. Concretely, two security measures are derived; MTTSF (mean time to security failure) and the effective traffic intensity. The mathematical analysis is achieved by using Laplace-Stieltjes transforms according to the analysis of M/G/1 queueing system.

First, we sketch the main features of WADE and outline its internal architecture. Then, we describe WANTS (Workflows and AgeNTS), an industrial strength platform for large-scale network & service management that is now in service in Telecom Italia, and that leverages WADE agent-based workflows as core technology. Finally, we conclude the paper with a brief summary of the presented innovative technologies.
